I found out this morning when I went to the bank. I need it to do my banking along with my bank card. When I went in the bank I could not find either card! I then realized they were in my other pursue and I have been without a driver's license since sunday! It is a good thing I realized it and I have not had to be pulled over by a cop! I don't remember ever doing this for this long! Has that happened to you?

Yep...it happened to me years ago. I never looked at my license and hadn't been pulled over...never got carded anymore. My license basically just sat in my wallet, unthought of. I got pulled over for something dumb like a license plate light and that's when I discovered that my license had expired. Luckily I knew the cop and he let me drive home. Actually, he escorted me. He could of arrested me which would have been horrible. It happens.

Oh I'm the same. There is always something up with my car it seems. I once went a entire year without a muffler. It fell off and I put it in the trunk of my car figuring if I got pulled over, I'd tell the cop that it "just happened". As it was, I never got pulled over for that, thankfully.

I have my driver's license in my purse and make such I don't leave without it! I hate being pulled over by cops! I have for bad mufflers, head lights and break lights being out! As soon as I can, when I have some money,I'll get the front signal light replaced! LOL!

The roomie and I had been doing some cleaning during a nice day in the winter and we had a load to go to Goodwill. We jumped in the car and was halfway to Goodwill when I realized I didn't have my pouch with everything in it, but we just dropped the stuff off and came home to work some more anyway.
I have actually gotten down the street other times and realized I didn't have it, but seldom too far to not turn around.

I have not driven around without my licence, but I have driven around for 3 months without a valid inspection sticker. the weird thing about it was, I was pi$$ed at the man who noticed it and told me.....I am thinking: Yes, of course, i know my inspection sticker ran out 3 months ago. lol

I also drove around once with an expired driver's license for three months! I also drove around with an expired license plates for 6 months because I was waiting for my car not to not have to be tested for emissions! I had it tested twice and it didn't pass! I could not afford to have it fixed so it would pass! Luckliy the state law was changed and I didn't have to go through it with my car! The age of my car, finally, was not in the age range anymore! I got fined two times and I hope I never will go through that again! LOL!

Yea, this happened to me. It's weired right? you're driving normal, and then when you found out that your license is not with you, you start thinking weird things.
When I found out I don't have my license with me, I drive as fast as I can so I can go home already. lol! :)

I know! I have experienced it! Twice I got pulled over for an expired license plates! It was not cheap and I could not pay it because had to pass emmissions! It didn't pass twice and I could not afford to get work done on it! I finally got my license plates reewed when the law changed! My car fell in the year rage where emmissions weren't needed anymore! The worst summer of my life! I never want to go through that again!

I got my drivers only last November, but from January last year until i get my driver's license i was driving. There a time that i was really afraid because i don't have any driver's license but perhaps i did it for almost 11 months going around the city without license. But I was force to get a license when 1 time i was so unlucky that month of November, I was stopped by a cop, and ask for my license, but i don't have any, so the cop took my motorcycle to their office. And my dad get it for me, and fine for 1000 pesos. That the time i was force to get my license, and now i am not afraid of driving anywhere. That's my experience in driving without my license.

It happened to me a few days ago.
It's always scary when you realize you've done this, then drive around hoping that you don't get stopped for any reason.
I couldn't get paid the other day when I forgot my wallet, my boss had to pay for my gas just so I could get home. I had to go the whole day without it, freaking out, hoping that I didn't get pulled over or get into an accident.
I left my wallet on the bedside table after doing laundry the day before. So instead of putting it back in my sweater where it always is, I picked up my keys and forgot about it.
It's easy to forget sometimes.

When I realized it I was haping I would not get in an accident or get pulled over by the cops! Around this time I noticed my signal lights,in the front of my car don't work! They go on but don't flash! So one of this days I need to get those fixed or someday I will get pulled over and I better have my diver's license on me!

Hi. blue65packer. I am glad that you was not caught by a cop. It was not your fault anyway. My husband has driven around without having his driver's license on him quite a few times. Luckily, he was not stopped or pulled over by a cop. This happens sometimes and it is scary, I know. It has never happened to me at all. I don't have a driver's license, but I will soon have one before this year is up with though.

I know it was my fault and it is so unusual for me to do! Since I did that I make sure I have it before I leave my house! When I realized I had no driver;s license on me I happen to noticed my front signel light are out! They go one but don't blink! Oh brother! Now I need to fix something else on my car! Never fails!

I got stopped in a random sobriety check once. I was coming home from work, was sober, and handed my driver's license right over. The cop looked at it and asked me how long I'd been driving without a license.
HUH?!!
I freaked out. I didn't know what he was talking about. Long story short -- my license had been expired for a year! Usually DMV sends a notification for renewal, so I never checked the expiration date. (I do now!) I don't know why I never received my notice. Maybe it got lost, but it was a moot point then.
I ended up having to go to court, pay a fine, and take all the eye, written, and driving tests over again to get a valid license.
Who knows how long I would have continued to drive merrily along in blissful ignorance with no license if I hadn't been stopped during a routine check.

I have heard people do that but most people know they have one and don't care! I did that once for 3 months at one time! I knew I had an expired driver's license but I didn't get it renewed in that time. It happen so long ago I don't remenber why I waited 3 months! Never has it happened again!

I've been driving without a license for a month. But I always do it every 5am when my boyfriend picked me up from a friends house. It really makes me scared. When the first time I learned how to drive I am a little bit addicted to it, so I'm driving without a license for a month but not anymore just got my permit and will take my driving test next month. Cops are really scary if they make you pull over.

I have heard driving around with just a permit! I also have heard people who have been pulled over for haveing no license at all! So many people drive even when they have a suspended license or have their license permently taken away! You have been lucky but not everyone is!

I think I don't have my license with me while driving more often than have it with me. This is a very bad habit, and fortunately, I have not gotten pulled over so I just keep on doing it. I need to knock on wood now! I always change purses and wallets so everytime I am about to leave, I never want to go to the hassle of finding it and just leave. I don't even think twice about it now. I am going to start taking it out right when I get home and putting it in a little dish by the door so I always know where it is, and it is convenient to grab before I walk out. I think this will solve the problem :)

It didn't help when I went to the bank I needed both my bank card and drivers license to do any banking! I am not happy and it was embarressing! So I make sure now when I leave the house I have both on me along with my car keys! I have forgotten car keys in the past and that is another story!

Several city in my country doesnt have good regulation about trafic. The cop is not always stay to watch out bad driver. Some people here drive with have no driving license but they know how to do to avoid the cop. They can choose alternatif road where the cop usually not stay. I with my friend were turn around city by city without driving license, and we were lucky, no cop disturb us
