is the working week to long

is it just me or does the week seem to drag while at work yet once the weekend comes along time seems to speed up and before you no it monday morning is once again upon us. is it because i hate my job so much and find myself counting down the hours till home time and counting down the days till the weekend. i love spending time with my family at the weekend but it seems to be over as soon as it starts and when i look back we dont seem to of had enough time to do anything. should it not be that the working week is just two days and the weekend is infact 5days long. i know i would much prefer this :)

I feel you! I hate my job, too, and it's excruciating to go through the week thinking that Friday is sooooo far away! I hope I wake up one day, excited to work, in a new job, and fulfilling whatever is my mission in life. Ah, but, you know, weekend is just around the corner, so let's just hang on a little bit more.

yes weekend it just around the corner and lucky for me it is yet another long weekend due to the royal wedding on friday and may day bank holiday on monday. i think every monday should be a bank holiday then the week would only be 4days long and the weekend wouldnt be so far away

I know, right? There was a proposal before in our country of making work week, especially for those working in the government to be shortened to 4 days, and instead the workday is extended to 10 hours instead of 8. But, it met a lot of opposition so it was not implemented. Good for you because weekend starts tomorrow. Enjoy the long weekend, and the royal wedding! I want to watch it on TV as well, so, I'm thinking I'd go home early on Friday (time difference, so, I think the wedding will be during our night time).

i already work 10hours a day but 5days a week from 11am to 9pm but it takes me an hour to travel to and from work so to me its like working 12hours just today to get though then i can enjoy the weekend. i myself have no real interest in the royal wedding its in the news everyday and in all the papers i will be glad when its over and i no longer have to hear about it all the time but on the plus side i have an extra day off work so its not all bad
