There are so many different cultures and religions in the world and every culture and religion tells his followers to follow a pattern of life which includes some restrictions and limits of food items as well. I am a muslim and i always try to follow Islamic teachings in my food taking. My religion prohibits me to eat pig's meat and drink alcohol. Mostly now a days peoples dont consider this as a serious issue. So my question is that do you consider your religious teachings while choosing your food or not. Please also share what your religion prohibits you to consume in food items.

I follow both strick religious teachings and health considerations. Today people will eat anything with no thought for their faith or their health. People all over the world are grossly obese. Even those who are supposed to be following their religious teachings in reference to food. We are an egocentric society and should be ashamed.

I think religion is teaching us a great think to avoid us from danger and sorrow, but the difficult think is that some people that don't really understand what the religion want or saying will make it a difficult way. The development of science will increase the people knowledge and will eliminate the boundaries in the past. what i meant used to people prohibited coz something for sure. Coz they don't know it. Now after investigating people get to know what it mean and how to do right things about alot of thing so it's up to you about your religion and food
