Sometimes, I think that being a dog is happier than being a human. Why? For the dog has nothing be worry about and always enjoy her time at home or outside the street. When the dog get tired, then go to sleep. When he wants to eat , there will be food right in front of him. He will alwyas protected by his master and alwyas enjoy playing and run around in the garden. Well, that's my imagination anyway and I surely don't want to be a dog when it is summer with the temperature over 30 degree and still hav eto run around with a fur coat under the sun. That's why I said "sometimes". What do you think?

Being a cat is not bad as well.I used to have one when I was still young. The cat always stay with me and even sleep near me when she felt cold and boring. How ever, I didn't like it when the cat kept on eating and did nothing(at lease she has to go to chase some rat). Anyway, I think it is much bette for me now because I have no pet at the moment and don't even border to feed them and take the dog out for a walk . I enjoy the freedom and don't think of buying any pets at least in this few years.

What do you mean sometimes? I think that it would really be really great to be a dog. I mean you get to lay around all day. You get treats for doing cheap tricks. You get lots of attention and most importantly, you get to go to the bathroom outside and don't get busted for indecent exposure. Not to mention, you don't have to worry all that much about the insanity of the world, the economy, corrupt politicians, if you are a dog.
Of course, there are going to be drawbacks, but what are you going to do. I think that many dogs might long to be humans as well, so the grass really is greener on the other side. Still in many ways, dogs do have it made. Of course, they would perhaps say the same things about us humans, that is if they were able to say such a thing. Still in this day and age, a life of a dog has many more benefits than the life of the human.

I know what you're talking about. One time when I was about to go school, I stared at my dog and I said that dogs are lucky, they don't have to go to school and deal with bad teachers. That's the time when I dreaded going to school. LOL. But somehow I still feel thankful that I'm human. There are so much more that I can do as a human than as a dog.

Dear friend,
I do like to be pet dog of a rich family who cares it more than their sons. I had seen women who used care their pet dogs, pamper it, gets it almost what a dog wants, it is very nice to see. But I am afraid to become street dogs, where it has to fight with other dogs and people would throw stones on it.

Ye, it i sgood to be arich dog in a rcih family , then it will be much better.Ha ha , I hav ejust found a poem about a dog written by some unknown people and I think it is fun and worth it to share in my comment. I hope you would enjoy it too. ha ha.
I lie belly-up
In the sunshine, happier than
You ever will be.
Today I sniffed
Many dog butts — I celebrate
By kissing your face.
I sound the alarm!
Paperboy — come to kill us all —
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!
I sound the alarm!
Garbage man — come to kill us all —
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!
I lift my leg and
Whiz on each bush. Hello, Spot —
Sniff this and weep.
I Hate my choke chain —
Look, world, they strangle me! Ack
Ack Ack Ack Ack Ack!
Sleeping here, my chin
On your foot — no greater bliss — well,
Maybe catching cats.
Look in my eyes and
Deny it. No human could
Love you as much I do.

hahaha.. you really have a wide imagination with things. But I think being a dog is really hard to be a human. What if you have no master to protect you and to feed you in your daily meal? Where do you find your self?At the dump site finding for foods? What if you bite a child on a street and people will try to kill you? What will you do? :P

I ma not talking about those dogs who has no master and of course those dogs are poor enough on the street. we have many dogs like that in my city and they are truely an example of poor dogs. They have to search around the garbage can to look for food. When encounter with some eveil dogs on the street , they will have to fight for their life. Well, anyway I think even a poor human will have difficulties to survive and needless to say about being a poor dog. Oh, I think it is better to be a rich human and no need to worry about finance and it will be a happier life.(At leasts for now)

Although you have your reasons to say that being a dog is happier than being a human. However, being a dog can not have freedom. A dog has to expect his owner to go home and spend some time to play with it when he is not so busy. The owner will offer it the food, but it may not be its favorite food. It just doesn't have a choice. And it has to try to please its owner. Otherwise his owner may not like it and then abandon it.
I love China

Personally I don't think being a dog is better than being a human. But a dog can be a better friend than a human. The phrase "Man's best friend" already explains the lot of it. You can play with it, talk to it and even reveal some of your secrets to it without any fear (humans on the other hand might leak it out either by accident or on purpose). That's just a bit of my opinion...
Cheers.

Looking at things from a human being's limited point of view, I do think that there are some ways that it would be much better to be a dog than to be human. However, because of the fact that I am such a family oriented person, I think it would be a bad thing to be a dog because dogs are separated from their family when they are very young. That and the fur would be the two main drawbacks to be about being a dog.

Yeah, a dog's life really seems too simple that one would want to exchange their life with a dog. If it's time to eat, they'll just ask their master for their snack. If they wanna pee, all they have to do is dig a hole. I have a dog and sometimes I do envy his life because he doesn't have to work hard to live. He only have to depend on us to survive.

Why Not? If I got a master (Mistress?) like me who dotes over her pet, feeds her before having her own meals, bathes her regularly, plays with her, loves her and looks after her every need, I certainly would not mind being one. But will I get a Master (Mistress) like me is the question!

My mother always said My dog-coffee is very happy because he no need to work, no need to worry. And Can stay at home. But he lost a FREEDOM.
I just take coffee outside the street around 1 week per time. When he know he can go out, he is very happy and nerous too.
