I am interested in what you are talking about here.. if you own the things you sell then all the money will just be used up for shipping to the buyer.. on the other hand if you buy something from ebay can I park the item with until such time that I can re sell the same item and who will shoulder the shipping cost...

people buy from whole sellers or retailers when they are offering heavy discount. Then sell it on ebay.Big ebay sellers purchase directly from factories or they import many items from other countries where they are available at cheap rate and sell on ebay.

I don't know i guess you can buy things on sale and make up aparcels or mystery boxes on ebay to sell at a profit. buy bulk and sell in smaller amounts. I dont know really i just sell my own things. It would be good to be able to make something that sold well on ebay? but i dont have much of a talent in make products good enough for sale.

I know of one person who is buying overstock from places like Sears and Kohl's. They buy them by the pallet and then sell them on eBay. They are brand new, name brand products, so they are making very good money. Many people go to yard sales and estate sales to find things to sell. One of my friends bought a lot of clothing for $200 at an estate sale. When he got the stuff home, it turned out there were many designer gowns in there. He made $11,000 selling it on eBay. Some folks use dropshippers, so they can list a store full of things that they don't have to have in their own homes. There are really a lot of ways, limited only by your own creativity.

Wow thats cool, about the clothing. And about buying the overstock. I wonder how you do that. That would be a good thing to look into.

The days of commission are pretty much gone on eBay (since everyone knows how to use it these days). Most of the people selling in "shops" get their stock through business contacts - they pick up the unsold stock when real shops close, they get computer parts from businesses who sell off their old machines and so on. There are dozens of real-world auctions, house clearances and other ways to find "junk" to sell - and someone, somewhere will want it!

this is what my neighbor did. i guess a local store of antique signs was closing down so my neighbor must have bought the signs and kept them in his basement. He sold a lot of them on ebay. this was in the early 90s, i guess they were ahead of their time. i can't believe I didn't realize what they were doing until now. I was onlu a kid then but i wish i was in on it.

Ebay was a site that I was looking into using so I can earn some extra money without selling my things or investing but so far I have not found a way to do it. I wish you the best of luck so you can find what you might be looking for in ebay or any other site that you might be interested. In my case I guess I will see how selling on ebay works and hope is easy so I will be able to use it to get some money coming my way instead of leaving me.

Good question. I've always had a wonder about this as well. I'm an ebay seller, but I sell my own things that I do not need. Where as you have other Ebay sellers who seems to have contracts with other companies and they sell clothes, books, cell phones. And I've always wondered how they get to do this? Its all in being the middle man I guess.
