Have you ever lied for someone and took the blame for it?

More often than not, we lie intentionally as to divert or cover something probably due to not wanting to hurt someone or create an untoward incident. i remember lying for a good friend regarding an incident at our job, where i took the blame for him not being able to go through the work assigned to him. He was having domestic issues at home and was too confused and anxious that day, and added to that was management was really onto him and the pressure seems to be putting a toll on his performance. after that incident, he thanked me for covering up for him, although i really took the 'beating' from my boss, lol! but eventually, things went well for both of us.

Well, it happened once or twice, and it wasn't an happy epxerience but I thought it was the right choice at the time. Sometimes things just go well anyways, so if ones feels like it, should even take someone else's blame.

When I was a kid a fellow classmate who was my friend came late to school. He managed to avoid being caught by the teacher. When the teacher suspected his move. I had to tell the teacher some lies just to save him from being flogged by the teacher. However, the teacher got to discover my antics much later. I later apologied to the teacher for telling lies to him just to save a friend. But being a grown up now. I think I have outgrown such an habits. I will not tell any lies at this moment to save anybody.

having grown, probably the more you would realize how to deal with this matter more in a mature way depending on the situation especially if it involves your family.

You are a real friend to cover your coworker like that! Wow! Good for you and him too because he still has his job! He needs to get his mind off of his home troubles and get back to work so he won't lose his job. You can only cover for him so many times before YOU lose YOUR job. I'm sure I've covered for a coworker but it's been so long ago that I can't remember what the situation was however, I do remember this one incident with a friend of mine. She was given a nice car from her parents and unfortunetly, she let a guy she was interested in drive it and he totalled it. She was in the car with him along with a couple of other friends and they all survived but she took the blame so the guy wouldn't get into trouble. The judge figured it out and through it out of court so she wouldn't get any points against her drivers license. She was REALLY lucky in a lot of ways!

I did often, and it was for my younger brother. He was very anughty and always came out whenever rain came down. Although our parents did not permit him sometimes I said it was okay to my brother just to make him happy, and when he got sick (but happy) so I was the one to be blamed by my parents.
