I have somewhat witnessed families being torn apart because of money. You can see it in newspapers, a certain family member killing his own blood(sis, bro, mom, dad, etc.). It is so sad and disappointing since family should be there, supporting, loving, and caring for each other.
I hope this can be avoided if possible. Money can't buy happiness, certainly it can't.

As we have become more and more materialistic, complacent, apathetic, and ungrateful as a society, it gives more understanding of the meaning of "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil".
Money is necessary and a price to be paid because of our chosen egocentric and self-willed lifestyle, emerging from our dissatisfaction and ingratitude for God's blessings and provision since Eden.
Remember, Cain murdered Abel way back then, too.
The destruction of the family by any means possible is paramount on Satan's agenda, and, so also on that of political forces that prevail due to the fact that weak, torn apart families make for a weak and defenseless country.
God created families as the basic unit of society for his purposes. When we elevate self above all else for our own purposes ("eat that apple and you will be like God", "has God said?")we show our ignorance in thinking we know better than our Creator.
And certainly we are never happy.

Sad, isn't it? When many years ago, people gathered what they had to help each other so everyone could eat, everyone could succeed. Now, people are blinded by money only cause many people see the others as to what they have and what they don't have. I also need money, I would do something to get more but I would not do anything to get it.

Personally this is one of the reasons why they say "Money is the Root of all Evil." It would be nice if so many things in our life was not based on money and if you have or have not, and if you cannot pay then you get evicted. Due to the Economy these days and the job situation so many places, it is really quite hard sometimes for people. But if you learn to work it out, and talk and budget with what you have instead of what you do not, things will be so much easier in the end.

Money has become the prime motive of people today and it is very disheartening to see. I have witnessed many cases where in some feud would crop up between family members taking money into consideration. Ambani brothers in India are an example of such sad thing. Love and affection have taken a back seat in the materialistic world of today. It really is sad to see all this happen.

hi there, Money indeed is a necessary evil. Today people believe literally, money can buy everything in the world. Unfortunately it can't. The most precious thing in our life should be our close and loved ones. The world is so materialized that people forget their precious ones and run after the luxury money provides. It is essential for people to realise the significance of people in their lives than money!
