I wonder why whenever I drive to another city, i will get so tired and restless?
I would feel rather uneasy and drain of energy whenever I was travelling outstation and driving long distance.
Do you feel the same way too or it's just me?

Hey jacklintan, long time.
Gosh there is only so much my tiny behind can take while on a long drive. I shift from side to side but there is not enough padding back there so it gets sore.
Long drives are fun but it gets to the point that it get boring and tiring. The anxiety starts to build up as to when I am going to get to my destination that I get frustrated.
We take a drive to Arkansa, 18 hours every summer and yup, so much fun knowing I am going to get there but whoa after 6 hours I am frustrated.

We do when it is just my boyfriend and I but when we fly our little one from England to us, that in itself is quite an expense we undergo twice a year. So the trip to Arkansas with her, we must drive otherwise we could not afford to go, unfortunately. We do try and make the best of it and so far it works out.

Travelling long distance is tiring because we remain seated in the same position for long hours. This is so especially if one has nothing else to focus the mind other than the one thing - driving or seating if you are not driving. In a way, it is dull and boring and hence one gets tired. Ever realise that if you have company, you do not feel tired?

I guess for you and your fellow countrymen, driving long distance can really be tiring considering the expanse of your land. When you do feel tired, do stop a while and rest. Do not push the body beyond the limit for your own safety.
I make it a point whenever I do visit your country to take a coach, never to drive. First, don't understand the language of the traffic signs, second, so as not to mess with your traffic personnels and three, just to enjoy the ride. You might want to consider a bus or taxi instead at times, jackie.

It's quite tough to get around if we travel on public transport. But i will learn to drive out earlier and relax abit.

I also get tired if I drove for more than an hour. I believe that it is tiring because of the stress that we put into our body even if we are just sitting down behind the wheel. Driving entails a lot of concentration hence we put stress mentally and physically. Out arms our mostly on the wheel and due to stress they are in constant tension, hence sometimes this affects the shoulder area wherein we experience shoulder pains and back pains. Another thing that makes driving tedious is using manual transmission cars having to think about shifting gears while on traffic.
It is really hard to drive long distances that's why for me I always make frequent stops at gasoline stations for a quick rest and snack.

hi Akat.
Nice to meet you. Yes, what you said is right. I felt the same way too. sometimes, it's just me on dateline and I found stopping is just a waste of time. Maybe I should try to relax abit and have a quick rest.
