Writing a slow, but steady way of earning online.

Writing is one of the methods to earn online and there are many avenues to pursue it. Sadly, there are many people who overlook writing, due to the fact that they might have to put in a little time and effort to really get a good base of writing available. A blog would be the most obvious method, coupled with Google Adsense to monetize it but there are a few websites that you can submit your articles to, to get people to read them and get paid. Writing is something that might take a bit longer but has the most potential in the long run.

Hey megamatt, I don't think it's necessarily true that people don't want to put in the time and effort, so much that for a blog to earn money (according to many sites) it needs to be a custom domain which means the upfront cost which is unlikely to be recouped any time soon. On the topic of paid websites, I love the idea of these but have so far never had any luck finding one that didn't have terrible reviews and horror stories like "never been paid", "hundreds of articles for little money". Have you found any good ones? I'm totally up for having my mind changed!

That's true, a lot of people can't be bothered. Maybe I've let the negative comments of those lazy people put me off an idea I actually like. Can I ask which sites you're using?

I don't think you need a custum domain for a blogging site to make money. I have several blogger blogs that bring in a decent amount of cash(for the effort i put into it)

I do think that every little bit, no matter what, is a slight comfort. If you save your money wisely, keep putting back some of what you earn, eventually you're going to build a solid little savings. Granted, it won't blow your mind, but what are you going to do. Just keep writing, keep plugging away and you can keep earning just a little bit at a time, month by month and beyond. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hi megamatt. Your post sent a little spark or push in me to write online. I have only this mylot and triond and had been away in both for a little time now. I would agree with you that writing needs time and effort for it to be worth reading. I have difficulty with time at the moment but my problem is quite different I suppose. I had been wanting to start a blog and to submit articles online. It is fear that is stopping me from doing so. My friends had encouraged me to start one and soon and one good friend even made a blogsite for me. The blogsite is there but empty. Couldn't find the courage to start a sentence, much less find a word. I don't really know what kind of push I should get to start one. And I love writing.
