have you heard of Sophie Lancaster? she's a Goth who was brutally murdered way back in 2007. she and her boyfriend Robert Maltby were walking through a certain park in UK when they were attacked by a number of men in their late teens. Sophie was in coma for a couple of days due to her severe head injuries and died later on. her boyfriend was lucky for surviving the pain. police said that the 2 were attacked because of wearing Gothic fashion and being members on the Gothic Subculture.
what can you mylotters say about this???

That is really terrible. I don't understand how someone could just do that. Killing someone over the clothes they are wearing is really no reason to do so. It's really sad to see how we don't seem to be very tolerant over very minor things like clothes. Granted there are some things I can understand, but seeing someone wearing gothic clothes is no reason to attack that person.

exactly.. but i guess, there are really ignorant people. ignorant of how this world is creative in many aspects. perhaps it's their ignorance that's making them do what they did... im not sure, i really dont know how exactly they can kill people, how they feel about it.. :(

What can I say? This is horrible! Being in the US I don't hear much of what goes on over the pond. They must have been beaten pretty badly. The Gothic Subculture just like the Gay Community and Black Americans and probably several others never did anything to anyone except exist. It is a horrible sign of the times!

I don't think thats enough evidence to point out that she was killed for being Gothic and fashionable but I do think that maybe they were just a couple who we're unlucky enough to attract a gang of hoodlums. It happens a lot you know.
