Aren't you turned off with ladies who put face powder or make up in public transports? I mean, when you are in buses, or even trains do you get to encounter women who shakes your arms and your side only to look at them and realize they are doing this because they are in fact busy applying make up on one hand and the other holding up a mirror? What do you think? Is this a turn off for the guys? I often see a lot of ladies doing these and i get irritable seeing em do their male us rituals in public places! I find it really weird! Taking out all your make up one by one, brush, powder, eye liner! Why do it in public!

hello chiyosan, I often see this scenario every morning when i get out from office heading home. okay i work graveyard shift so i go home in the morning where most of the people are going to their offices and works. Now,i always sees woman painting their faces (sorry ladies, but it's painting still) They're on rush...but why do it in public vehicles, and all eyes on you. I am not against with them...but can you wait till you get to your office and do these things,or wake up early to have it done before you proceed to work. I can't help to smile...and all eyes staring at her. And...she's an expert with it...i just wish she won't hurt her eyes or pinch her eyelids when using the curl lashes. No offense girls...just do your thing..it's your choice as long as you know where to put yourself and won't looks funny. have a great weekend

Being a woman who uses makeup.. I'm guessing people just do it because they are in a rush and need to apply makeup quick (maybe they have an interview, or have work or something?) It's usually not an ideal situation to have to do it on the bus, so I'm sure they just didn't have enough time to do it at home.

Yeah same thought like you~ I always thought that people who are wearing make up on public transport are those who rushing to their office or workplace or their destination. They are in hurry till they can make it at home~

Yes it is REALLY annoying, and I wonder how many women realise that most of them actually look better without makeup?

I haven't seen anyone putting make up in a public transportation. But isn't it hard to do in a moving vehicle?

Perhaps because they are used to it so they feel nothing doing it in public. I feel nothing if I saw some of them doing this. Perhaps they just fix and touch up a bit the make up so they will feel more confident.

They are the ones who don't consider time. They are lacking of time maybe, that's why the only option they have is to make themselves pretty even on public.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I put my make up on when I'm on the train, as it gives me more time to relax in the morning before I leave my house. it doesn't harm anyone, and where I am I get a seat on the train, as I get on at the end of the line, so it's easy to get a place. I don't think it's weird at all.

You often have to wonder why women wait to put their make up ofter they have entered public transportation. i am left with the feeling they re not trying to attract attnetion or interest that wasn't there before.

It must have been me you saw in a train (lol) because I do it. Just before getting of I do look at my face in the mirror - a tiny one - and put a wee bit of make up as it makes me feel good. I don't consider it unethical by any standard!!

Loose powder, blush-on and eyeliner are my make-ups and I put them before going out of the house. I feel uncomfortable putting them in a public place but I have my pressed powder ready so it won't be that obvious if in case I badly need some retouch. Pressed powder is easier to use than rubbing loose powder on the face but I seldom do that in public. There are transport vehicles like buses wherein only one or two persons can peek at you while putting make up and it's not bad. Some won't find it annoying or embarrassing because putting make-ups has become part of a woman's daily skin routine.

i always put my make up at home before i go out. but when i am in a hurry, i put them when i am in the car. when i am with my boyfriend (when he comes home to me for a vacation from work)and we are out like in a mall and i tell him i need to go to the bathroom to retouch and pee, he lets me but when i can't go to the bathroom and i just feel like i wanna powder, he tells me i can do it here, like in a public place like in a resta. i used to tell him that i don't like doing that in public and he's like who cares? so what, if other people thinks negative about you? i like how my boyfriend is. being so open minded and not care about what other people would say. that is what i have learned from him. he got that kind of attitude from US where he grew up and lives.

It is difficult to put make-up in public transport specially for eye liner :D it will not be perfect. But for me i can only put lip stick , lip gloss or blusher ,simple stuff and easy to make it.and i know that all people around me will look at me in surprising way
