Laser Tag Foods?

Canada

Hello all my fellow mylotters :) I'm hosting a laser-tag lock in in about a month to raise money for charity and I'm looking to sell food at the event. Basically it's going to be a lot of people playing laser tag, eating, hanving fun and playing some other arranged games to win prizes. All proceeds are to the Children's Wish Foundation I want to sell water bottles and gatorade for the drinks only because pop with jst make the guests more thirsty or even burn out on a sugar rush adn that's no good. For food I'm getting a deal on selling pizza and I was also thinking maybe popcorn. I want to have more variety adn such that night since no outdoor food is to be allowed. Any suggestions, hints or comments guys? I also was thinking about maybe ice cream or something and some sort of healthier option available but I'm not sure what... Thanks for the help! :)

Although ice cream is great and fun to have you also have to consider the freezer to maintain it. How about chips and candy, like peanuts too. Also hot dogs are always fun to purchase during events, oh and nachos.. gosh now I am hungry. lol Best of luck, sounds like a great event.

Thanks for the great advice! I didn;t even think of hot dogs and I bet those would be great. :) You also make a really good point about the ice cream so that's off the table now.. Nachos sound good too but I'm going to have to check how much those are going to cost to make and how I'd serve them.. I'm hungry now too! xp

If you can manage it, how about snow cones?! You just need an ice crusher, or an ice shaver that you can plug in the wall, and then an 'ice slushie snow cone syrup'. We have one, and it's a good treat for the kids after their little league baseball game. Goodluck in your event!

I have to agree with hot dogs and pizza. How about sloppy Joes? They're quick easy and fairly cheap, and almost everybody likes them. I'm thinking cookies too; round and with a 'target' on them. By target, I mean the series of circles that they use for shooting targets, which could either be frosting (too time consuming) or by making slice and bake cookie type where you roll the dough into a cylindar (with each roll being a ring of the target.) Bottle water is good, as well as gatorade, but, I have a hunch that there's lots more people than myself who wouldn't drink gatorade even if that was the only thing offered. Also, there might be people like my one daughter who is allergic to some ingredient in gatorade. If you go to like an Aldi's, or Walmart, they do have cheaper versions of gingerale, or 3 liter bottles (even cheaper) that could be sold by the cup's worth (more profit in the long run.) My thought: many people have a cola (or soft drink) habit, and while soda may make them thirsty, going without the caffeine, for hours on end, would also give them a headache. I know lots of people in that category, myself included lol. Good luck with your great project!
