I have noticed a trend on the internet and the amount of people who are working from home. It has increased dramatically because of the convenience you receive from working at your own home.I think it has also increased because more people are able to work who were stay at home moms or dads before but now have a way to make income. Working at home is time consuming and the pay is, on average, a considerable amount less than a job outside the home yet more and more people are choosing to do it. People high up in companies are choosing to trade their careers in to stay at home.
would you take less pay to be able to work from home?

I no doubt would think it a lot at least. It would be great to earn totally from home, just doing nearly the same as an office work and be paid without ever leaving home. My own schedules, my own pace and my own environment without most pressures of every office. All that's great.
About the pay, well, it depends. Maybe if I can do with that lesser money, I may take it. It depends on how much do I spend and how much less will I get. But no doubt it's great.
I have taken a few times doing a part time job from home, and only go to office to deliver the results. Good experience, and I got paid based on how much do I did.

I have been for 6 years but, it can be "VERY TIGHT on the BUDGET" at times. My wife also works from home as a Licensed Therapist for children here in Central Florida.

It depends on several factors, such as how much of a pay cut and what would the work be. As with everything else it would have it's advantages and disadvantageous. I'd say the pluses outweigh the minuses. It would so be a time saver and money saver by the time one figured clothes, gas, time to commute, time to get ready.
I think one has to be very disciplined to work at or from home and not be easily distracted.

It all depends on how much lesser is the pay. I do not mind if the amount less is far below the conveniences I will have working from home. The odds is that I need to have the discipline to work at home. I know I do not have that discipline and it would not be fair to the company.

I have already. As I suffered from an injured elbow and was not able to work for a while and when I tried to return to work I could not, so I just decided that it was best to earn money from home. Sometimes I find that it is extremely hard, but I do like the fact that I can do what I want and not have to answer to anyone when I want to take a break. I enjoy being with my daughter and I have found that I can make decent money if I work at it.
With gas prices the way that they are, I really wonder if people realize just what expense they are out with the cost of getting to work.

well it depends. there are times when i cant take the stress at home anymore i would wish i could just go away and work in a place away from everyone. but there are also times when i am just too tired and i would also like to work at home, like a home based job. maybe it depends. i would still prefer to have a place of my own and then work there, like maybe online and sell stuffs online or something like that. or maybe do some paper works at home then just submit them when they're done or due

I do work at home. I make minimum wage working from home if not more at times. I make just as much if I working in a call center. In the long run it saves money especially with the gas prices rising. In my case it saves on gas, daycare, lunches, and special clothing if a job requires it. I have been working from home for the same company for about 5 yrs way before I had my daughter. I like the flexibility being able to set my own hours versus when i worked an outside job. I hate working nights mainly because I hate driving at night. When I worked an outside job I always seem to be stuck working nights. When i worked at a certain call center in Mich I had to fight to get time off for drs appointments. A couple people keep pushing me to apply at Toyota Financial which is a call center that has great benefits and pay but I wouldn't change working from home for any anything. I'm a mom who don't believe shoving a kid into daycare.

i am trying to earn from online jobs. i have no time to work outside because im a mother of 2 kids. i have to take care of them and spend the rest of my free time doing internet jobs. the pay is so small not even average (or maybe i haven't found the right job yet) but im still doing it for extra income.

If I could find a work at home job that actually pays, then I would do it. I wouldn't mind if I took a pay-cut, as long as I could actually survive on my income. I haven't been able to find anything that allows me to do this yet. Many sites, mylot included, you earn very little and there is no way for me to actually survive on that income.

It depends really on what type of job it is. If it's something I can do part time and keep my full time job then it would be great. However, if I'm going to be full time I think I'd rather get the full benefit even if I need to go out to work.
You see, I am not married neither do I have a lot of responsibilities at home (no kids and my parents are still very much active), it would really be boring for me if I'm going to stay at home to work. I wouldn't have friends to talk to, officemates, neither would there be team building sessions and the whole package.
Though, I do appreciate the work-at-home jobs because I know there are a lot of people out there who could take those into their advantage.

If i am able to find a good paying sites where i can earn some good income, then of course i prefer to work from home. It is because i can take care of my family and home while i am earning some income at the same time. Although i know it is impossible to be able to earn as much as my offline job, but we should always think which is more important to us. Since i want to be able to stay at home more frequently, then i will choose working from home. I am planning to get a faster internet connection, so i can start earning from home soon. Good luck to all of us who are planning to earn from home.

Working at home doesn't necessary pay lesser than working outside. However, to build your online portfolio before earning a decent income is a prerequisite to success. Many conventional business is currently available online. Buying and selling items for example can be done through online. Many people earn nice income doing online trading such as selling at ebay etc, there are also many home-based opportunity in the net nowadays. If you choose the correct one, it would be possible to cover your income outside.
Have a nice day.

hello,
I am a student so i dont have work outside yet so I do is to work at home just a part time job. Well, if i have an opportunity to work on the office I will choose to work outside home because as what you have said those payment is little less than working outside because maybe for now it is enough for me because it is just my part time job and I am just a student maybe sooner that I will graduate I will be needing more money to help my parents and for my future. right?
