Politics equals money

I have been looking over my discussions and I have come to the conclusion that the ones about politics always do better and bring in more responses then all the others. I make more money when I post one on this subject then any other. Do you think it is a highly opinionated subjects or just one that people get worked up about? Any clues as to why? I think it is a way for some to let out their true feelings on subjects with out having to worry about hurting, or offending those they love or are friends with. I know I say a lot politically here that I temper down in public, of coarse I am very opinionated and everyone usually knows how I feel but I do temper it down for civility.

MyLot is about opinions. If your able to express yourself with some maturity and restraint it works no matter what your opinion. I do understand about the star/rating system, it doesn't work the way it was intended.

I think politics is something everyone has an opinion on and, ofcourse, think they are right. hahaha And they do like to let everyone know their true feelings. I don't answer most of the politic and religious ones because I have some very different and not always recieved well opinions.

I do too. That is why I stay away from politics and religion.

I have to admit it is in my nature to say somethings just to rile people up. Bad trait but I do it so well though I do it on here at times without even trying

Politics does have a tendency to bring out strong emotions.

What I think is interesting is that the discussions under politics that usually get the most responses are only marginally about politics, or sometimes not about politics at all. Sometimes, it is gossip or scandal that happens to involve a politician, but not about a political issue - it's about someone's personal life. Then there are those that don't reference anything in particular but make sideways kinds of comments about people who do post in politics. I have even seen blatantly religious topics posted here and not deleted that get loads of responses. However, if you post in politics, chances are that most people will have some strong views that they can't resist posting. I know they sucker me in all the time, even when I vow to stay out of the fray...

Its my opinion that once in a great while religion and politics are mixed. Afterall, politics is mans attempt to rule other men, and religion is about mans attempt to rule himself.

I think the two collide often though...

Politics and Religion are both good places to get a lot of responses, however they are also places to lose you star...lol When the good old star falls so does your income. Beware.

Because people don't like what you have to say.., that system isn't my favorite.
