Are you someone who is a germ freak who can't share food with friends or family...
Example)
If you drink from a cup, your lip touches the cup: Would you let your friend drink the cup if they wanted some?
Example)
If you are eating off a fork and your friend wanted a bite and they used the same fork, would you let them?
I guess these scenarios only happen in school because if you're out, you can always ask for another fork or straw.
I remember back in high school all my friends would share with each other and no one was really a germ freak. I was the one who was more of a germ freak like if I drank from my water bottle and a friend wanted to drink it, I'd let them have the entire bottle.. lol, how about you?

I agree with you there.people can have all sorts of things
so i wouldnt want to spread it and risk getting myself infected.I wont share
drinks but i would maybe share food if it was like two plates and I could separate
it with a fork.
i luv my buddies...but not that much o.o lol.

You know.. this discussion really got my attention. I guess I'm saying right now that I am the type of person that you just indicated in the content of your discussion.
I don't like sharing a bottle with my friends and if they want a drink and I feel like sorry for them that they look so damn thirsty, I'll just give them the whole bottle even if I only had a sip out of it.
I don't like letting other people share with anything that will involve the sharing of food unless it is just something like chips that can be eaten just by using hands/ hand-picked. In short, as long as there's no saliva involved in sharing, I'm out. Hahahahaha!

Hahaha.. I got something wrong with my post.. let me correct it on the part "as long as THERE'S SALIVA INVOLVED in sharing, I'm out." Hehehe... :D

Personally for me, it would really depend on the situation. There are times I have let a friend try something and let them use the same straw or fork, but most of the time especially with food I tend to carry extra forks as well. But if it is someone I know pretty well who does not have a Cold or anything there is no real harm in letting them try the food as well.

I think family is okay, but friends sometimes, it depends :)

well i feel its unsanitary. I usually avoid scenarios that we might need to share cups and such.
The only time i remember sharing when i was really drunk

I have no problem with sharing things with my friends. This scenario is not restricted to schools as you have said. I have gone to concerts and raves and parties and have shared things with strangers and new friends. I am a big fan of unity. I've shared a lollipop with friends before. I have different comfort levels with different people, but mainly I share with everyone. I rarely, rarely share my chapstick, only with very close friends since you rub that all over your lips and use it for an extended time.

I am not a germ freak, but I guess I am just not that person who is much in love with the idea of eating on the same plate or drinking from the same bottle bottle using just one straw. It is my personal stand. I think it is not appropriate, not to mind not safe health-wise, to share food and drinks that way, even with friends and family. I am really not thrilled by the idea.

I am kind of a germ freak, just a bit..But I do share food, I just don't let other people use my spoon or fork, not if i can help it. I would be alright with sharing a straw, but I don't let people drink from my bottle if their lips touch it. And last, I don't share anything with boys (personal stuff), just girls...

With a hygienic point of view, it is better to avoid such practices at all times. But considering the relationship and attachment with the people around, most times, we won't give much importance to it. Though I don't share the tea or coffee with friends, some time would share the curries and food items when we are having food together.
Thank-s

It is fun to share something with others.During drinking session with my friends we use only one cup and pass it with each of us. Some said that it is not good because you might get some bacteria and you might acquired his illness. But we can;t say that "hey dude don't drink with this cup". In can offend others if we do that. We just pray and hope that no one of us have illness to transmit..hehe:)

actually why would it seem wrong if you share food with well friends , right?
well I read on and I think its like giving something that is part of you and I don't like that. But as for taking in from what is a free source , I do this in restaurants and at home , even if it is a bottle it's okay though I may think twice about drinking that after. The only people I would share it with is those that I really care about..

If it's my family, I share (I have a 4 and 6 year old and they want to share everything). If it's someone else, I don't. Maybe it's just my friends and my co-workers, but it seems like that is actually something taboo around others, and I wouldn't want to anyway.

Sharing food with others is ok unless the one who shares it to you or you sharing to others have some kind of sickness especially if its communicable.Today many new diseases are really frightening so one must learn to say no.I do share my food or any utensils I use with my family and closed friends but not to anybody whom I barely know.

Hey there,
I would share up to my last crumb, but if they are not immediate family utensils and direct using of straws and utensils would be a definite no.
Not because I don't trust them, but because I would not want to perhaps share anything that maybe I may have and vice verse they may have with me.
We are taught as children not to do so, therefore as an adult I don't. Surely my friends would understand.

Its ok. If its my family members but i doubt that i could share it to my friends. If were like best buddies yes i can. As long as i know that they dont have any contagious disease why not, lol!

Well I shared and water and food. However, as a friend why not.Even if I shared with a man in the street will not even think about it.Because it is not pleasant to drink some water and the other failing to watch the side.
