a basketball fanatic?

Why do boys love watching basketball and other ball games? Whats with basketball anyway? If they're sitting in front of a television and you are trying to call their attention they can't hear you. As if you're talking to the air.

In Nigeria where I live, we love football and that is what takes the attention of most people especially the boys. Nigerian do not like basketball. People in Nigeria follow the english premier league such as chelsea, manchester united, liverpool,and also spanish laliga and italian seria A.
We do not like basketball the way the american do.
Ours is football and nothing else
So I will say it is a cultural thing and it differs from country to country

Your right, in every part of the world, there is always differences, from foods,clothes, even sports as you said. You and your country men in Nigeria really appreciate the sport called football, and that's you and your people always watch and play.
Here in my country, in Philippines, we really love ball games. And perhaps the most familiar ball games here was basketball. We are not known for heights, and we know that height's matter in basketball but besides that lack, we Filipinos always love to play that game.

i am a girl but i consider myself a basketball fanatic. Me and my fiance enjoy watching basketball together. and even playing it. each time we watch basketball games and our favorite teams are playing, we are stuck on the tv like as if we cant hear anything else but it. lol maybe its just something that interests both of us! =)

you are exactly correct. I am that kind of person you are referring to. Basketball really is cool to play and watch. I love playing basketball, even though i'm tall as the pro basketball players, i know how to play that game. And I really love to play that game..
