Yes, a window of IPL must be included in the future tour plan of ICC so that all the overseas players can participate the whole IPL tournament. It would be benefit for both their team and themselves. Whatever India is the lone country where IPL and countries series won't clash, never but other countries tour or home series may get affected for IPL. Most players (almost all) prefer IPL than country's match because of money. Lots of money can be achieved by playing IPL as it is all about cricket and money. Whatever if IPL gets a separate window it will be easier for all the franchises to get balanced and most possible strong squad. It will impact the IPL tournament too. However IPL may get twice a year from next or after two years, one in summer and one in winter. It may cause a headache to others but an IPL can earn a player which is more than a whole year's income from country's home and away series.

IPL is too big a tournament in respect of earning for the international cricketers are concerned. I.C.C. will not be able to suppress it for long by not giving adequate window for it. Many International cricketers have to cut short their stint at IPL due to their country's commitment there by causing substantial loss to their earnings. It will not be long before we see the revolt from the players. They will prefer the stint at IPL than playing for their country. I.C.C. therefore should wake up fast and give adequate window for IPL. 2 months period for IPL is not long enough to be arranged.

I do not think so. Despite many foreign players, this is just another local tournament. I think the international fixtures should always take precedence over such local tournaments. Cheers! Ram

Yes, I think that unless we want to limit the years of playing for the cricketers, a separate time with adequate time for rest is must for IPL. Otherwise, players may risk injuries, or fatigue which might affect their performance in the main tournaments, or Test series etc.

If ICC creates an IPL window in their FTP program, I think every other team might as for it so, its not good for cricket. IPL is getting very long tournament and currently it takes nearly 2 months... So, if ICC creates a window for IPL, International cricket will be missing out 2 months in an year... which I think is just too much to ask for... Also there are only a few players from foreign that takes place in IPL so, the rest of the players will be missing out...

I don't think so because still many players are playing and only few tournaments are helding during IPL so it is not necessary for ICC to create a window for IPL rather than you could finish IPL within 45 days so many chances left for Players to participate and moreover it is very difficult for ICC to do so because IPL is only a domestic Tournament like KFC Twenty 20 Big Bash in Australia so it is better they do not take big decision for a domestic Tornament like IPL.

I think ICC has done more then enough by declaring Champions Trophy as an ICC event. Cricket calenders are already overflowing. We almost need 540 days in a year to digest all the games going around. A 50-55 day tournament every year of ICC will be too much to handle.
