I have been in terrible pain for going on 3 months.
Went to my Reg. DOc and he said maybe nerves growing back from breast surgery 3 and a hald years ago .
and in the back just mentioned that it was tied all up in knots gave me pain pills with mo other suggestions of what to do .
Ok pain pills not working on the back all that good So now I have gone to a chiroprator.
FIrst exam found my shoulder out of place torn ligiments in my back and not much muscles in the front this is all on the left side.
Sent me to get xrays also gave me a treatment of the machine that pulls and relaxwes the muscles.
The xrays were for looking to see if cancer had got in my bones and other things .
@nd exam after the xrays no Cancer gont o the bones yeahhhhh, but I do have a rib outof place in my back!
some ostreo and some arthriti in back .. So he did some pinipulations and opped me in the back area some pops sounded very small but then there was a big sound also thinking that was the rib moving.
Then back to the I will call it the muscle relaxing machine I have 6 more appoints with him not sure just when he will put shoulder back in place and I tell ya one thing if I by pass a pain pill I am in deep doo doo .
Also he says that this all goes back to the breast operation when they were streching me and tore my rotor cuff . And here I thought that got healed up.
am now waiting for the day that he gets me all ajusted back to normal .

I am sorry you have been in pain for so long, but glad that the chiropractor can help you know what is really going on. It is a long time sometimes to get things put back together. I like going to the chiropractor.

In my experience seeing the chiropractor is much more effective for me than the doctor. The problem seems to get addressed more directly rather than me having a lot of tests then told there is nothing.

I wonder if you strained yourself sometime, or did the fact that you no longer have br*sts that something went wrong. Or you probably lifted something too heavy. Me? All I had to do was to jump from the top of a gate to the sidewalk and slip. I was about eight or so at the time. It took me years before I visited a chriroproctor. Straightened me out in no time.

They really should do something. And you really should not have to pay since it was their fault. Could they put a plant in there? I know they do it with hips.

Owww Lakota dear, you poor little soul. That all sounds terribly painful and the quacks seem really indifferent. I am constantly in pain or stiff or sore in the joints and muscles. I have no idea what causes it as I have had numerous blood tests and x-rays.
I know about those missed pain pills...I can barely move if I miss a dose...I just want to fall in a heap and go to sleep.

Brufen help with pain and swelling but I can't take them if I'm driving so I have to be careful...driving means a minimum of over 2 hours as I am a volunteer driver. Doc has also given me Osteo-Eze which does nothing. I take Glucosamine Sulphate and paracetamol...the knee joints don't work making it difficult to get up from a chair, the loo, the car, my bed. I use my back and arms and my back and shoulders are now really sore. The glucosamine seem to do nothing but if I stop taking them my knees become worse. It is supposed to rebuild the damaged tissue but I think that's a load of rubbish...maybe it does for some but not for me.
My physiotherapist says the pain comes from not using my muscles and joints and I need to be more active. If I'm not using them, how do I know how much they bloodywell hurt!!! Grr, I get so angry.

Oh Lakota, I cringed reading this..I am so sorry you went through this unnecessary pain. You'd think that when they did the surgery that maybe on your checkups, that this would have shown up. I am glad you got it taken care of, and I pray you are now really on the road to healing...

I wondered if the doctor would know what happened..So nothing was said to you? That stinks....

I would sue the doctor that pulled and stretched you and tore you up. These doctors need to be made accountable for their mistakes. Or atleast sent you on to see the appropriate people to make sure nothing had gone wrong. Hard to prove it now probably. I just get so mad when something dumb like this happens by doc and costs you bucks down the line when they should be responsible.

It was the hospic theripist that got it hurting first then I was passed to a therapy group that kept it up I kept telling them it hurt like hell when they streached me that way but till I told them that I had to stop driving as I was faint afeter secion they got worried sent me for MRI and foubnd tore rotor cuff they woulded on that awhile then I had my heart attaqck and just a little wa resumed while I was in therapy for the heart . Probably these people dont even work there any more.

I just get so angry and protective of people I know and care about. I am like a she-bear when it come to my kids. I think the therapists and such need to listen more and take it serious when patients complain. I think they get so used to it it is like white noise and they just don't pay any attention.

Hello my friend Lakota12 Ji,
Well my friend, I am really sick after hearing from you about all your pains and troubles. But I am to say that no Doctor has ever touched me with his/her surgical instruments, i have three children born by natural labour pains. I do suffer with RA/HTN/DM2/UTI, but I think I suffer much lessar than you. I also understand that there is absolutely no treatmnet for 'BACK-PAIN' except that one should do regular exercise. Doctors are after billing . Pain-killetrs are most harmful for our healthy body. Take care. I will prey Allmighty that you recover soon. Thanks.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Thanks for your responce. AM sorry for your sufereing but I am sorry I just dont know what those Letters stand for.
The insurance companys are after the money aas well as the DOctors the CHiro[practor I am going to is trying to be able to use my medicare to get my payments down lower but looks like the ins. co. would rather ya be cut on than find a more natural way and cheaper way of doing things.
I dont like resorting to pain killers but wehn in so much pain I had to do something I am in hope of being off them soon!

Hello my friend Lakota12 Ji,
So nice of you for your immediate and prompt positive comments. Well those RA (Rhumotide Arithrites / HTN is Hypertension (BP) / DM2-Diabetic level-2 /UTI is Urine infection. For HTN and DM2 is from 1988, RA is since 1992, and UTI is just 4 yrs old. Due to RA my fingers were twisted, I could not climb any steps, could not get inside car/bike etc. I could never get up before 9 AM till Sun shines. I sufered for almost 13 yrs. But my hubbyu did not leave me alone, whereever I used to go I have to carry tea-poy /stool with me so that I could climb. But my hubby says, after Night day falls in everyone's life. I tried all treatments, but since five yrs now, I am bit relieved and I am just little less than normal. My Dr. stopped all kinds of pain-killers. They are very much harmful. So you willl too become Ok. keep patience and accept as gift from God.
Thanks.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Before I had my back surgeries I went to a chiropractor and he did wonders for me. But paying out of pocket used up too much money eventually. Here's the kicker: the insurance paid for the back surgeries. But if they had just paid for the chiropractor they would have saved themselves so much money from the surgeries. I've had 13 back and neck (mostly back) surgeries/procedures. Granted, I think some of those surgeries would have happened with or without a chiropractor anyway (the car wreck that caused them did some serious damage), but not 13. They shot themselves in the foot.
You are one tough cookie. So many things and you just go on like a trooper.

yup I would say that 13 is way to many.
adn car wrecks can really mess ya up.
My Doc tring to get approved with medicare so hope they do before I run out of money didnt want to spend my inhieratance this way but have to if I want out of pain.
Just dont know why they want someone to cut on you they just want the money for the surgeons it looks like!

That's terrible that you have been suffering. Pain pills certainly help but your right...you need that chiropractor. I went to one before but it was not for anything near as serious as you. I could tell a difference after my second or third visit..but it sounds like it might take you a while to start feeling better. I hope that he fixes you up soon. It makes me sad to think you have been in pain for so long.

Sorry to hear this sister
If taken daily pain killers become ineffective soon, please avoid it
Well the chiropractor might be helpful
See if they have PULSED ELECTRO MAGNETIC FIELD Treatment there, it helps.
I will pray for you.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers.
God bless you, have a nice day ahead.

Oh wow sorry to hear of such bad pains you are having. I am glad you are at the chiropractor to help ease the pain and get it all back into working order. Sad that you have been enduring this for so long and do hope all can get well soon.
Make sure you get enough refills for the pain, no need to be in unnecessary pain for too long. Have you been able to work during this all and if so it has to be too difficult for you.
