I really need a new laptop good for gaming that won't crash every 10 minutes!

My dad put this computer together with parts from the turn of the century. It has system errors galore. It is really missing a bunch of lines of code, which makes it the ideal computer for throwing into a furnace. Lately I've been getting into computer gaming. It's been a nightmare. What kind of computer is cheap, but not crappy?

Well assembling your own laptop is best way to get the bang for your buck and it is a possibility for you because your in the US. But as a standard, gaming laptops should be i5 or higher and have a 1gb dedicated video card and ofcouse 4gb ram or higher.

If you are specifically looking for computer gaming, laptops are no good. Go for a desktop. Even in desktop have a few good things like graphics card, sound card and RAM and cache memory of top order.
