How can I earn some referrals for the sites i sign-up for?

As in the subject, how can I find some referrals to sign-up on the site I use to earn something? I have a big problem and It is that nobody that I know wants to use them... so I can only rely on online referring. What can I do to achieve this?
P.S.: The sites I'm talking about are on my profile if someone is interested ;)
