I think the best program is Real Player, but on the web it's possible to search for other programs suitable for the use you need.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your default browser, then I recommend you the 'Easy YouTube Video Downloader', an add on from Mozilla that used to download videos from youtube

I recommend KEEPVID.COM. it's easy to use, just simply paste the youtube url and submit. And its finished.

Mostly i prefer the youtube downloader as well as the internet download manager.
