I think we all do it, I can remember one instance where I was at the movies. We were watching a scary movie and the entire time there was this loud guy sitting a few rows behind me yelling at the movie screen. Normally I would be upset at this act, but he was kind of funny lol, so it made the people in the theater laugh. Another instance has to do with me,I sometimes find myself yelling at the television especially when my favorite team is playing. I.E the LA Lakers! What about you? Do you, or do you know someone who yells or talk back to the television screen? Do share your experiences! BTW just about my entire family does it, my brother especially. anyway do share!

lol, Yes I remember when we went to the midnight show of Revenge of The Sith and it was crazy, everyone was yelling and cheering, some people in costume and all. That was fun but I have to say that was the exception most movies I see on the theater people are quite except for those that don't turn their phone off. When I am at home though I have often yelled at the screen especially horror movies when people do something dumb.
It will be like
"Behind you!!"
"Turn on the Damn lights before you go down to that basement"
"Watch out for that tiny twig that you are going to trip over while the killer is chasing you" lol
I think the worst is watching football games when a few friends are over, much yelling, anger, happiness all rolled in to one Although I am not a big football fan I do watch the odd game or two with friends

I remember experiences like this as well. People yelling and screaming is mostly found in horror films. It is fun, and the guy in the theater was just like you. lol, Pretty much saying the same things as you.

Yeah he must have been a fellow horror fan that knows the rules lol. I am not vocal in the cinema but at home when watching DVDs it is a different story lol. But I do agree sometimes it can be fun and I have to say seeing the Star Wars movie at midnight was fun, most had been drinking and had had a right laugh.

A lot of things can make a movie fun, i.e drinking is one of them if you know what I mean. But I too never been as vocal in an actual cinema. As you, i'm this way at home or at a friends house. Either way they all look at me like I'm crazy.

If I know a movie well, I sometimes quote a line before the film plays it as well. It comes as a habit for me, I like knowing i can quote the lines lol.

Hi keshia!
Yes, I do that sometimes! Especially if I'm really into what I'm watching. I mean, if I feel strongly for the characters. Just like last night, I was watching the latest episode of Supernatural and it was about Castiel. I was saying to Castiel, "Cas, Crowlie was successful in tempting you. You gave in to temptations!". I love Supernatural and I like a lot of characters there. I was really surprised to have discovered that Castiel was behind everything. I just felt I was so touched by the emotions of what I was watching so I was reacting that way. I couldn't stop myself from talking even though I know those tv characters won't hear me. Doing it felt like letting out the frustrations or whatever the emotions the tv show have arouse in me.
The other day I was also talking to another tv character. I just so hate that character I was "telling" him that he's a loser and he should die already.^^ I guess for tv fanatic, talking back is normal.

This is completely understandable. A lot of people react in such a way when watching something they are really engaged into. Thanks for sharing!

Oh I do this A LOT! Especially when Blackpool Football Club are playing and it's shown on telly.
One instance I won't forget in a hurry was watching this team play against the (now) mighty Manchester City. The game was being played at Blackpool's home ground so there was a good atmosphere UNTIL Carlos Teves scored a DEFINITE off-side "goal" for City, which proved to be the turning point in their fortunes. Up until that point 'Pool had played quite well.
I was INCENSED at this "goal" and - not only did I scream, "That was bloody OFFSIDE you cheating scumbag!" at the telly I also threw my specs case very hard at the settee.
Luckily, my husband wasn't sitting there at the time!!

Most definitely! A live game is even better and we shall be shouting away at our local team Carlisle United on Saturday (last game of the season).
Apparently, parachutists are bringing the Match Ball so that should be fun. Hope they don't drop it in the Town somewhere lol.

I think we get the most reaction from watching our team playing. As you, I'm am the same way. It does get very intense and we are filled with emotions and its just so happens we find ourselves yelling and shouting. Its all in good fun!

Hi Keshia! i am such a freak at times when i am watching T.V. Recently on Master chef Australia, one of my favourite contestant lost... i was yelling at the judges so bad( as if they could hear me)..
I also like singing along when there is a performance on Idol. My hubby asks me to shut up because he wants to hear the real performance and not me. I really need to cage my emotions up whenever there is a climax on TV.

lol, thats cute at 14 they are still innocent. I can definitely understand what you mean. We are just expressing ourselves to the television, maybe in the hopes that they could hear us? Who knows thanks for sharing!

I find myself talking back to television all the time. When someone isn't telling the truth and I know it, I talk to them specifically. And, when our favorite football teams are playing, I talk to them all the time! You know, we do the same time in person at games - we talk to the referees who sometimes do not call things they should or call them, it seems like, for the team they like the most. I guess I talk to the screen more than anyone in my family! My grandkids sometimes laugh at me for hollering at something on TV.

lol, this is really funny. I understand exactly what you mean, especially concerning your favorite sports team. I'm the same why, yelling at the players as if they could actually hear us. Only wish they could.

HA Only time I yell back at the tv is when im watching sports and someone makes a bad play then i yell at them lol, Other then that I normally dont talk or yell back to the tv lol. But that is pretty funny and also pretty annoying to have to sit behind someone who yells at the movie screen lol.

I agree, I to do the most of my yelling when watching my favorite team play. With somebody makes a bad pass, or even doing something good I would shout and clap lol. I'm crazy I know. We all are. No just kidding. Thanks for sharing!

This is understood. We are alike in this way. Come to think about it a lot of people I know shout at the screen at home more than at an actual theater. And you're right they do need our direction. lol

but my mom ..yes..she does it all the time..especially during the news on TV...political topics etc..she's old..guess thats normal for old folks.

lol, normal for old folks? I'm not to sure, maybe. But everything you said I understand, some people don't express themselves as vocally as others. As for me, I don't in a movie theater, but when I'm home watching my favoirte team playing it could get a little crazy. Actuallly they play tonight so, we will see what happens lol.

Well some people do this overly so people around get mad for it disturbs them. But if the reaction is just so normal and funny to look at then it helps add fun. It is just like watching double program because while watching on the screen you also get the bonus of watching another true-to life comedy. It gives the people some break from the scary scene on the screen.

I agree, some people do that shouting at the television set or movie screen a little bit overboard. If its done in a funny way than its ok by me, otherwise it could get annoying.

I don't do this at movie theaters, but I do it a lot at home. If there is someone with me I try to be quiet. Exceptions would be game shows or football games. I only watch my home teams games, and I guess I don't know enough about the game because they never listen to me. LOL. If I am home alone I talk to the TV a lot.

lol, if im home watching my favorite team playing i talk to the tv a lot. As you, i'm not the one to yell and shout at a movie theater, but when I get home its a different story. I think its applies for a lot of people. Some people are just overly vocal where ever they are.

I occasionally yell. I kind a moody when it comes to it, sometimes my friend would tell be that I have such blunt affect cause I don't totally react. Of course not, I still do react but most of the time I am just silently watching. Lol! But here comes one friend of mine who yells on her laptop, tv , theater whenever she is watching. It's kind a annoying when I have to focus watching and here comes her yelling.

Lol, I understand. It can get annoying if things are taking a bit overboard. Sounds to me that she yells at everything we a screen. This is funny. As you said some people just enjoy watching movies in slience, this is understandable. For me it depends on the movie, but I'm definitely the most vocal when watching my favorite team playing.
