HBO introduced their adaptation of George R. Martin's series A Game of Thrones and so far it has been a dramatically wonder retelling of the story. Immediately we begin to feel affinity to the characters who seem to jump of the screen at you. I like the fact that you cannot exactly place them in any particular time of place in the world as we know it and that the characters seem so real, filled with the emotions we all expect in humans; such as love and lust and anger and hate, family and friendship, deception and honesty, truth and honor and failure. The setting is grand and changes from scene to scene. Because of how the stage is set it would be a spoiler for those who have not seen the movie yet. But in my next post I will do a breakdown of episode I, II and III. I love this show it succeeds where others have failed in adaptation of fantasy novel for the small screen.
