When I was watching the NFL Draft Friday the Carolina Panthers decided to draft Cam Newton with the first overall pick. I can't help but think this is a bad move on their part. They might have had the worst offense in the league last year but I don't think it was all the fault of the quarterback. I think the Panthers would have helped the team out a lot more by going in a different direction instead of taking a chance on another young quarterback. How do you feel about the Panthers draft move?

I don't think that them drafting a quarterback was a bad move. I'm just not sure that Cam Newton was the right choice. I know he did well at Auburn, and Lord knows that he has been a thorn in the side of my Arkansas Razorbacks for 4 years. LOL But, I'm not sure that the offense he ran at Auburn is going to fit in with the offense at Carolina.
I think that they would have been better suited with Christian Ponder from Florida State, Andy Dalton from TCU or Blaine (Having a brain freeze and can't think of his last name) from Missouri. All those offenses are much more in line with what Carolina runs.
Of course this is just my opinion and that and $4 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks! LOL
