Now that the President is about to make a speech about Bin Laden being killed by United States action, do you think this will seal his bid for a successful re election of his seat or not going to matter because of all the other issues and this is old and was Bush's fight. Now they are saying they will Identify his body. What do you think would happen if they go to identify and it is not Bid Laden at all! Oh my gosh I couldn't even imagine that!

Yes, they are. But they'll have a new cause now.

I think this will increase the attacks on the US. He created several sub groups who will be fighting to be the new leader of Al Qaeda. To be view as the leader they will have to stage a spectacular attack or a series of attacks in a short time over a large area. The security around the world should be on heightened alert. If we get hit with a new wave of terrorist attacks it could spell doom for his reelection. Killing Bin Laden alone will not secure his re election. He will still have to deal with the economy.

Good thing our brillian president directed our military to the right country, and not waste 10 years in, lets say, Iraq, for instance.

HE did not do this, our military did this. This should not be made into a political coup for Obama. God bless our military and those who provided the intel.

I understand the body has already been disposed of, and in such a way that we can't go back and get it...

I have to say I found the way they disposed of him to be peculiar. I mean why not burn the body or something. Give it back to his family, I mean he was a terrorist but there are people who love him as husband, father and grandfather... why at sea really?

If it does there ALOT of very stupid people out there! Look how long, and how many presidents this has been through. We've been fighting to find this guy for along time now. If they identify the body as other than Bin Laden I won't be the least bit surprised. There have been several times they thought they found him. If they give Obama all the credit for finally getting him they are deficient. It has been a long time coming but it isn't his glory. I will be laughing and shaking my head if they give him full credit for this. If it even is him.

So many different opinions and feelings have to be swimming through the heart and mind of obama. It certainly has to make a difference in how people will think of him and what has happened.

It is a big achievement for Bush, who started a war on terror. But end of Laden will not end terror, only love and forgiveness can win over terrorism.

Yes, I think it will be a great boon for Obama's re-election campaign. On the other hand, any support he gains from this victory could be killed by how he handles the aftermath. Terrorists aren't going to take this lying down, so it will be up to Obama to step up to the plate and be willing to defend the US against whatever comes next. On the political front, he already did one thing that is going to bite him in the butt. While there was DNA verification that this was Bin Laden, there was NO independent verification. The fact that the body was buried at sea so quickly feeds the fire of controversy. Now, "what did he know and when did he know it". Did Obama have anything to do with the haste in disposing of the body (and the evidence)?

The all of a sudden haste of all of it was shocking as we really haven't heard much about this situation in a while. Of coarse that may be the media more then anything else. I have to say I know several Navy Officers who find it upsetting that a honorable burial at sea was soiled this way.

As a citizen of the Philippines, this issue concerns us also. I think that Pres. Obama should not dwell on Bin Laden's downfall for his re-election. I think it would be more beneficial to focus his energy to more pressing concerns such as the economy and other more important matters that concerns his country. Politicking is important but not that much important to his constituents.I think he would be remembered more if he did some improvement in the economy..thats my take on the issue.
