Dilemma on work

Hello. ^_^ I'm so confused about my work. I work as a volunteer at a rescue unit but then a friend of my mine offer me to attend the training at Phils Rescue this coming may 25. This training would give me 7 sets of certificates and an equipment to be used for the activities. My colleagues from my recent work suggest that I should grab the opportunity for me to receive those sets of certificate. Do you have any suggestion what would be the best thing I will do. Thank you. ^_^

Being a volunteer means you do work in your own volition, without expecting a fixed salary. Since you are just a volunteer, you are not tied to them with a contract and could very well attend the Phils. Rescue. the training as you said could give you a set of certificate and training which could be a good addition to your resume, in case you would already like to apply for a formal paying job. However, out of respect, you should make a formal notice of being absent on that day.

Follow the advice of your colleagues. It's personal growth for you and probably a career growth eventually. I don't think the rescue unit you're currently a volunteer in would mind if you attend the training.
