I am looking for advice from others who have done or are currently on the the 17 Day Diet. I had great results with Cycle 1: felt good, great energy, lost 12 pounds in the first 17 days. I am currently in Cycle 2 and am having challenges. My concern is that the days that I am following the Activate (cycle 2) menu, I have trouble with feeling terrible from eating the carbs. I ate oatmeal and brown rice in small portions, but it felt like I had rocks in my stomach all day and into the night. I also have only lost an additional 2 1/2 lbs in 14 days. It is as if my body is not accepting the carb intake, and although the book states that you do not need to eat all the foods on the diet, I am worried that I will not be meeting the purpose of this cycle to "activate" my metabolism without reintroducing those natural starches. The book does not recommend staying on Cycle 1 for more than 17 days, so I don't feel I should simply continue to follow only eating food from the Cycle 1 Accelerate list. Other than this issue, I have been very happy following this diet plan and it is the best one yet I have tried or researched. Has anyone else experienced this difficulty? Please let me know your successes, challenges, and any tips you have for me to continue on this diet.

I started on another diet, not the kind where you shed so many pounds. I checked yours as much as I could but it seemd to me that it was a kind of diet to be done for a certain event more than one to change our eating habits, as mine is. Anyway, if you have shed so many pounds in so little days, it means that you have to move to the other stage as probably the first 17 days you are not eating all you should to be healthy.
