My daughter and I have an Xbox360 and a Wii but have yet to get the PS3. I just saw on my news feed on my blog that they were hacked again and that Sony is setting up a "Welcome Back" package that was announced in a press conference today to make it up to their customers. How are all you PS3ers doing out there? I hope the news got to all of you to be able to secure any financial information you may have had in Sony's system. My daughter and I are just sitting on the sidelines so to say feeling kind of lucky we're not involved in that situation.

Me personally, I am really mad about this situation and you are lucky that you are not involved in this situation. Sony said that PSN is supposed to come back up on My 3rd, 2011 but i doubt that's the case. Everytime they set a date about when the PSN is suppose to come back online, the date is then pushed further down the month resulting in PSN users being forced to wait another week.

I'm sure my daughter and I would be angry too. This has got to be damaging to their business. I saw they were offering free DLC and premium membership to those affected. Do you think it's going to be enough to make up for it, or is it a bad question while PSN users are still dealing with it?

I have a ps3 and of course I regret PSN being down but afterall I see it as something positive.
Exams are almost starting over here so that's one less distraction.
Security was bad but now they have been attacked securety can only become better. Luckily I didn't put any crditcard information on my account so no worries about that.
I like wath they are doing to compensate the downtime. You get 2 free games to choose out of five (hopefuly good games) and 30 days of PSN+ (hopefuly more now that it is taking longer to come back online).
As far as I know this is the first time PSN was hacked (correct me if I'm wrong) and other systems can also be hacked in the future.

Sony didn't do very well in the damage control aspect of this whole issue. It seems they kind if ignored their customers and kept them in the dark about alot of important things. Makes me happy I'm an xbox owner, while admittedly, Microsoft isn't the best either

I have a xbox 360 and im glad I have it. I wouldn't want to have no multiplayer for 3 weeks.
