My sister in law's youngest brother have told me that Justin Bieber greeted the Malaysian fans of HELLO MANILA! instead of Hello Malaysia. Then I surfed the article right away regarding that to know more other information. http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/entertainment/04/24/11/bieber-greets-malaysian-fans-hello-manila
I just searched on youtube and I think it was reported in Malaysia of greeting them Hello Manila. When I've heard that news I really laughed on it and my reaction was like "Excited Much?" At the same time it is flattering for Filipinos especially for the ManileƱas because it is like he is thinking of Manila all the way. Maybe he was confuse of the difference between Manila and Malaysia. He might thought that Manila is a country or Manila is the capital city of Malaysia. I hope someone would teach him Asian geography. He will be here on May 8 Sunday and I just really hope he realized that he is in Manila already which is the capital city of the Philippines. I hope he is aware of the name of our country "Philippines" without any confusion.
Now my another question is what was the Malaysian fans reaction when he greeted the Hello Manila?

Nope base on my research her mom is caucasian. while his grandpa is from germany, it's to believed that her ancestral is more like french canadian. besides, you can tell it from his nose that he's not a filipino or other asian like for that matter. i think he just forgot and thought teh people in malaysia are filipinos

I've researched on it as well that his mother doesn't have any Filipino blood. I am wondering if he is aware that he is having his concert in Kuala Lampur during that time. If he is already here on Tuesday next week then somebody should inform him before his concert that he is now here in Manila, Philippines.

I've read some comments from blog that someone even told him like he is "stupid" because he is in Malaysia.

First, that was funny. It may be an honest mistake on Bieber's part coz i don't think he wants to insult his Malaysian fans by calling them another name. Also, we know that Bieber's has been in so many places every so often, so it's not surprising if he gets mixed up with the names of the places he visits. I just hope his Malaysian fans understands him.

I know he have no intentions of insulting people especially to the fact that those people who attended his concert were his fans who appreciate him as a singer and his songs that he created as well. For sure that is just all about confusion and lack of awareness of where he is. And yeah the fact that he have been into many places one thing for sure it really makes him confuse of which is the country and the city. It has a big tendency of mixing up the names that he visits.

Hello Metatronik,
He should have called them by race like "HELLO MALAYSIANS!" instead of calling it by place. i don't know would they call it Manila when they should call it Filipinos. or it would have been better if he called them Asians, that would have been safe and general since it's malaysia. he should focus on whom he should greet to. i think this will cause disappointment among his malaysian fans.
But if he called us malaysians in our concert, i guess it's understandable. Filipinos do have Malaysian Ancestry.

I think it is alright to call his fans according to its places. Just like what Craig David did when he was having his concert here in Araneta he greeted us as his audience of HELLO MANILA! Usually I think they are greeting by using the name of country or the city. It could be more safe if he will greet HELLO PHILIPPINES because I'm thinking that he might greeted his fans here as HELLO MALAYSIA I am not yet updated regarding the reaction of his fans in Malaysia. I just hope that they won't give too much meaning about it. Well unfortunately not all Filipinos are aware that we have Malaysian Ancestry because some might have already forget the history.
I like his new hair cut huh! I am wrong on my post regarding the date of his concert it will be Tuesday next week which is May 10. I could imagine the traffic in our place.

You gave me a laugh. I dont know whats up with him. Was it because of stress or jet lag? Well im also a filipino. I guess he got confused to the capitals and countries that he has tours. He better study his geography. I dont think that malaysians are happy or just take this for granted. Bieber must apologize right away.

I am also laughing every time I'm thinking of this all over again. Yes probably he is confused about the difference of the place. I am afraid that he thought that Manila is the capital city of Malaysia. I hope someone will inform him about the places because not all people have memorized the capitals and its countries. I myself would admit that I am having confusion in places as well especially if I am in other country. What more to Justin Bieber that he has been traveling around the world for his concert tour.

yeah.. that's so funny... I am not a fan of justin bieber neither his songs I don't even know he's coming in manila. I can't imagine what was the reaction of people in malaysia when he did that and maybe he's fans in manila are very much happy to see him.. I'm just not sure if he has many fans in the Philippines. I know many people who are hater of justin bieber.

Some of the tickets were already sold out and I believe he is attractive to the teenagers. It was like he is a solo and young version of Moffatts before that even here in the Philippines they have so many fans as well. I remember when I have attended the Moffatts concert my both ears became deaf after one day because of the people yelling at the crowd. So I am expecting that in JB's concert it will happen too. Good thing I am not a teenager anymore to mingle with the crowd. I am not his fan as well so I have no interest to attend his concert.

Yeah, that is really funny--I can't even imagine what their reaction was like. I am not really a fan of Beiber and I didn't even know he was coming here- his fans must be so excited.. I also think he got confused between Manila and Malaysia sine they kind of rhyme and start with the same letter.

That's funny! I retweeted it after I read the article! I guess he was really too excited to see the Philippines. Oh well, it's really embarrassing too. But mistakes are appreciated, even though he has a lot of fans. I'm not really a fan of him but I really find this funny and appreciating! It's somehow kind of rude though. But mistakes can be forgiven.

As a Filipino of course I would also admit that his mistake is appreciated. Though of course that is kinda embarrassing to Malaysians. I think his manager and production assistants must guide him and remind him of the place to avoid confusion.

I think its the same as calling your girl another name... Lol.
We all make stupid mistakes at times. But That isnt always bad. I believe some malaysians are gna start calling themselves Manilians too. And that because Justin said so.
But I just hope Justin doesnt corrupt like most stars. Coz actors arent teached to handle fame and fortune.

It is more of his confusion I guess that he is not aware of the information about the country. That is the reason why I said to my earlier post that there must be people with him it can be his manager or even production assistant to remind about the place every now and then. Last weekend he was in Sydney so I just don't know how it was. But then next Tuesday he will be here in Manila so I hope he will be informed about our place.
