Will Prime Minister Harper make a Difference

Is Prime Minister Harper really for the Canadian people as he claims to be? Will Mr Harper, now that he has won a "Majority" Vote continue to waste tax payers's dollars on unnecessary things like a "Fake lake" for the G8- G20 summit? or will he listen to the Canadian people whom he was elected to serve and buffer or subsidize the rapidly increasing gas prices? I have to give to Harper, he sure know how to use the system to his benefit- holding two elections inorder to finally win a Majority vote instead to the minority vote he's held from the beginning. I guess that's when they have substituted the word "Politricks" for politics.

What makes you think Harper will change just because he now has a majority government? It means he has more power to say more and break more promises. People forget that he was found in contempt of parliament, and he should not have been voted back into power. I see how Iggy has now resigned since he lost, not sure if he's embarrassed or not by losing. I guess he really thought that he would win. Politics in this country have gone to he!!, and wont get any better with a Conservative majority if the minority didn't do anything worthwhile for us.

well, i think Canadians gave him too much power this time around to be honest. i hope he lives up to his promises. i also hope that the NDP and Jack Layton will make sure Harper doesnt go 'my way or the highway.
