In getting the link for another discussion, I ran across this news item & it made me think...dangerous...very dangerous!!! A woman in Spartanburg South Carolina had stored nude photos of herself on her cell phone. I guess she thought they were safe as they were with her & under her control!!! Only ONE problem...she lost her phone & the kind soul who found it thought it amusing to forward her nude photos to everyone in her contacts. Sadly, she wasn't expecting this to happen & she hadn't contacted her carrier to have the phone cut off when the photos were shared. Fortunately, I don't have nude photos on my cell so this shouldn't ever happen to me. However, I do have an app where if I lose my phone I can go online & trace where my phone is located...plus, I can remotely wipe ALL data stored on my phone!!! I back up my phone several times a week; so, if I do have to wipe my phone, I can restore any wiped info when I finally get my phone back!!! The app was free, but the service cost me $20 for the first year. Then I was offered a special of an additional $20 for a lifetime contract. Yes, I could lose my $40, but I'd rather lose it than have nude photos sent to ALL my friends & family!!!! Plus this app has a anti virus/anti spam feature & makes it simple to block unwanted callers & emails!!! Why would you even consider keeping nude photos of yourself on your computer or your cell???
