strange year

Come to think of it, yes, this year has been somewhat sad so far. But basically, I am an optimist. If I have been short of whatever I want and need in the first half of the year, I feel good will give me all that in the second part of the year. So I am ok. And I hope you too would be. :)

hi saphy so far this year has been one damned shock after another with me falling the day after valentines day and evidently ruining my right knee and spending 20 days in hospial only to be home three damned days' and having to move out of my room as my roomie got the shingles and was contagious.so got back here after another 13 days and got deathly ill last Friday and was in hospital again but just one night so now May has to be our good month Saphrina for both of us

Hi saph, Exactly. People are not happy for this or that reason. Complain from this end and grumbling from another corner. Yeah, sad, hurt and [u][/u]gave up and whatnot. What do we do then? As you put Time is on its own pace and if you are alive and make the best of it, you have won. And not necessary that all win or all become successful. We need our life just getting through happiness and laughter.

Dear Saphrina I always believe MyLot is my fam,ily (ok, extended) so I think I need to share almost everything that happens with me. Yes, mostly things are not going the right way for me ever since 2008 but then this is life, many times they are my way and many other times they arent. I am noone to judge what the year will be like for me, and I can only hope and aspire things fall right for all. I try to keep the sad things at the minimum when I am really feeling hopeless and helpless I have found MyLot friends much better than the real ones to pep me back.

I did leave my heart in a cupboard a long time ago, I guess I need to leave my mind in the cupboard, too.... to be as happy as you are Saphy...

Its much better when that kind of stuff happens it only last aday. The other day from when i got up to when i went to bed i kept spilling things. All day long one spill after another. Days like that make ya wanna go to bed early. When ever my sister sends me a email she never caps the words. At first she never would put a period. It was very hard to understand. She sent lenghty emails too. Then she started putting periods but still no caps. All 1 paragraph. This last one she put the smiley econs instead of periods.

Oh dear shafri you can make my day some times! I do not any longer wear my heart up the sleeves....I probably locked it in a cupboard some where but now I have a problem I can't remember which cupboard? what with my age and all forgetfulness seems to set in...so now I just go about happy as Larry...like the Aussie's say.

No one is spared from the see saw that you mentioned. It is how we take life that matters. Being forever in the attitude of gratitude our downs fade into insignificance. That is my mantra. It is not how much we have but what we make of what we have sustains us through life and let not anyone say they have nothing to make of what they have. God will get angry with people who say they have nothing. Using caps denotes anger and I am so glad that they don't work with you any more. How can you get angry now when you have no cap keys at all!

I thought one thing. I am getting something. But about my goal, "i am getting positive output". According to me, "we never disturb long term goal from small small instances". And yes, you are the so happiest friend in mylot to me.

It's easier to talk about misfortunes. Especially with all bad things going on around. But, I guess you're right. The situation outside is already crappy as it is. We could at least make MyLot time a happy time!!!! Yeah, but, really, it's easier being somber.

I'm with you on this one my dear, it has been fully odd and strange for me too. I am really exhausted and it is only the 3rd of May. I feel like it is November and a full year has gone by. I guess it is too much stress and ever changing moments that make me feel this way. I really thought this would be a better year and sadly it is not. Still hopeful but almost half of the year is gone so too hard to continue uplifted.

Hello Saphrina, Your message sounds like you've been through some sad experiences lately. I'm sorry you have to say that everything seem to go wrong. I wouldn't say the same about myself. If I could, I'd show you a piece of myself, maybe you'll be contaminated with my joy and my optimism. I know this won't be the same forever so I have to enjoy every minute of this happy time of my life. I'd like to do something for you to make you happy, even for only a minute. Head up, my friend! Maybe you will have happy days, too, sometime.

Okay, I will not ask about the caps lock. I will just make up my own story that involves you removing the key with dental pliers because it stuck. I think for me every year has its ups and downs. I prefer mostly to share the ups, I hope. I think we get what we talk and think about though. Maybe I am just a Pollyanna or an ostrich. I want to think happy thoughts and put my head in the sand about the difficult things.

Hey saphy~ Unfortuately, I am having a terrible year too. I had already predicted this because uneven years seem to be bad for me always. My bf and are going through some very difficult things right now. He has job issues and I have some very serious health issues and we have been having a difficult time of it in general. He has communication issues and I complain too much about being in pain. I think we have finally come to an understanding after an incredible "blowout" last night where he said he was leaving (had to get away for awhile)-long story. Now he and I have "talked" and he will be here for me and go with me for my medical tests and I will be here for him to look for another job so he can move ahead for both of us. Hopefully, things will turn out ok. Right now I need my friends to really pray for me big time because I am facing some difficult medical issues that can have some really bad outcomes. Hi sis! I wonder that too~Too many sighs, too negatives. Why they want to be like that? Perhaps it is because they think about it too much till they go drowning to it.
