My son wants to have a birthday party where everyone goes fishing at the pond. He will be 5 this year. What kinds of foods should I fix to go along with a fishing birthday party? I thought about doing some little hot dogs in bbq sauce or something like that and maybe some of those goldfish crackers and maybe some grapes and cheese skewers. What else could I make to go along with the "fishing" theme? He will have a fishing birthday cake too.

Sounds like you have it cased fairly well. If I was going I would take along a couple tins of pork and beans and a home-made potato salad. Good luck.

What about some sandwiches cut into fish shapes? It should be pretty easy to cut the bread in a basic fish shape. you could make egg salad and ham salad ones. What about the dessert "dirt". To top that people usually used the gummy worm candy.

Great ideas. I went online and got the recipe for "dirt pudding" and I think I'm gonna make that too.
