I had a couple of bad nights before, and I just couldn't fall into sleep easily like before. I hate the feeling of toss and turn; even though I closed my eyes, my brain is still running. I knew that at the morning time, I might fall asleep while I am working. So, I definitely need to get rest. Somehow, one sleeping pill might help alot, even though a bit drowsy during the morning time, but it still help me to sleep well though. I only use it in limit, I afraid that I might have to rely on it. So, would you prefer to use a sleeping pill to help you sleep better?

You know this is the same problem i have now and I really sad. I never sleep at night the point that i had a lot of problems and many things coming in and out to mind. The most thing that disturb my sleeping time is my emotion my feelings that makes me hurt all the time that i was in love. I really hate myself when it happens because i cant hold my emotion. For sure i will collapse and very hard to move on. It takes so long before to resolve. Maybe when there is no remedy for sleeping i can drink those sleeping tablets until i gain up my health and be normal again. This time i am so depressed and don't know what to do for so many days.. Hoping for myself to be back again and be alive. That myself be happy and back to normal.

I always have sleeping problems, but i never think of sleeping pills. i just deal with it no matter how hard it is sometimes for me but i have never tried sleeping pills. well there are some medicines that induce sleep like Nyqil and antihistamines, i used to take them when i was sick because i just wanted to get enough rest but that was a long time ago. i don't have that much of them, my boyfriend would bring some for me when he comes home to me from the US. (sigh i mean my ex he broke up with me a couple of days ago, more than a week now after our 7 years relationship. now he wont let me sleep!!!! i cant sleep thinking about him )
just be careful with using them. my sister's friend uses that but she cuts the pill in 4 parts, she only uses the 1/4 part because she says, that part is already enough, and she is scared she might get overdosed.
take care

I have had couple of nights that sleep eluded me too. Sleeping pills? I dont use them at all. i just toss and turn untill i finally fall asleep. the only thing that happens is that i just get 3 to 4 hrs sleep instead of 7 to 8 hrs sleep that i am supposed to get.
I am not advising against sleeping pills but just make sure it doesnt turn into addiction or you suffering one side effect or the other arising from excessive use.
Just clear your head and think less when you want to go to bed. it might help.

Hi. kingparker. I would prefer to take some drowsy medicine or take a drowsy allergy pill that will make me very sleepy. I have done this before and it has helped me a lot to sleep, especially when I was sick. But I don't think that I am comfortable with taking a sleeping pill to help me to go to sleep. I have never taken one before, so I feel awkward taking a sleeping pill.

There are times when I do find it difficult to sleep and I would love to take a sleeping pill if it helped me get to sleep! I do worry though about any possible side effects! Also, there is the danger as you say that, if the pill actually works then you will come to rely on this as an alternative method of getting some shut eye! I think that sleep is very important and you do need to get your hours in!
Thankfully I'm able to sleep properly at the present time and there isn't a whole lot of stuff going on in my mind that's keeping my brain ticking over! I probably favour a nice hot mug of horlicks before I retire for the night and I find that this helps, either this or a hot mug of milk, they both work the same! I think it also helps if you remove the bed bugs on a regular basis by giving the matress a vacuum! Those bugs do have a habit of biting!! Why am I even saying this? I have bed bugs? Forget that last statement! Andrew

I'm my teenage years I suffered from insomnia and I never took anything to help me sleep. Sometimes I cant stop thinking about something that is upsetting me and I wont be able to sleep but I no longer have problems with insomnia which could be because the antidepressants I take helps with that as well. I think that even if I still had insomnia I wouldnt be taking any sleeping pills. I dont like taking any kind of medicine unless its completely necessary.

I have had trouble sleeping lately but I don't really believe in taking pills for that because of the dangers of becoming dependent, and no longer able to sleep without using sleeping pills, so I prefer to avoid using those kinds of things
Instead I prefer to research more natural ways of helping me sleep, like trying things such as drinking caffeine free hot chocolate before bed, or special natural tea's with natural sleep aids in them, or finding other natural methods to stop my insomnia
I'm not into pills really even over the counter pills can be dangerous if used frequently or abused so nope pills not for me.

I don't consider a sleeping pill fear that i might get used to it.
I only drink a glass of milk and eat banana after having a cold shower or a bath ,and that will do.
That's one of the best downer that i've learned from working in a graveyard shift.
So i never had any problem when i can't get sleep easily.
have a great day

I wouldn;t like to have to rely a sleeping pill to help me fall asleep. it would just be too easy to become addicted to them. Then i would just have a different problem than sleeplessness to cope with.

I wouldn't take a sleeping pill because I'm not sure of the long term side effects. I don't want to take something that I'm not too familiar with or even trust that much.

No, I won't take a sleeping pill because I don't want to depend on the pills to get some sleep. It is harmful for the health. Perhaps I will try to relax myself and drink a glass of milk. Maybe it works better. Actually I don't have a problem to sleep because I am already tired everyday. I can just fall asleep in a minute:)

I have used sleeping pills a few times in the past, but I usually prefer to avoid it. At the moment I don't need sleeping pills because I am on antidepressants. I take them before I go to bed and after about one hour I fall asleep. Those antidepressants make me very sleepy, that is one of the sideeffects. It is nice that I never need sleeping pills and never have any sleepless nights, but unfortuneately I am also tired during the day and that is a little annoying.

I never took a sleeping pill once. Even though I had experiences wherein I can't sleep at all even after lying on bed for hours, I still wouldn't take a pill. I'm not sure and I'm not very informed with the details, but I don't like the idea of sleeping pill. I'm not saying that the sleepin pill is a bad thing. I just don't prefer it. I like the natural way of me getting to sleep. :)

Synthetic medicines have various side effects and if you keep on taking it you will develop tolerance and it will no longer work for you. Personally, a warm glass of milk helps or when you are in bed don't think, no thoughts which results to you sleeping.
