Street cats are disciplined

This is a really weird experienced and yet an awakening to my perspective of street cats. Growing -up we had 3 cats and they have been always cute cuddly and sweet and they would always come-up to you purr and put their face on your legs.
But one rainy night all my good thoughts about our beloved cats disappeared when the wooden ceiling collapsed and surprisingly with a lot of our cats poop with the water pouring down on our bed.
Ten years had passed since that happened and a couple of apartments, I have discovered that street cats are more hygienic, disciplined and more classy than our domesticated cats.
One evening while i was hanging out on our balcony I saw the most shocking animal act ever! I saw 3 street cats that are very courteous to dispose there pee and poop on an open drainage.
The first cat peed, the second one also and the 3rd one pooped and again these are street cats so there you go. I state my case that street cats are more courteous than domesticated cats per my experience.

Yes, u are right. Street cats are more disciplined and street smart because that's their home, their territory. They want to keep it clean as it's their habit. UNlike domestic cats, they have the whole house to roam about, but there's only one small area comfortable enough for them to sleep. With that sense of security of where to sleep, they won't care much about where they pee and poo except for their sleeping area.

They are smart because they have to be. My family has had a few pet cats, all of which were strays. That is very interesting that they all used the drainage. I haven't seen anything like that before, but it makes sense. They may have a tendency to be more hygienic, but it all depends on the individual cat's personality.
Although my cat who was on the streets the longest before we adopted her, was always clean and had the softest fur you can imagine. Sometimes she would go outside and play and get soooo dirty that this cat who is originally white with black spots would come back all black and then just groom and groom until she was shiny white again.
Oh how I love kitties. :)

I don't know about street cats, but when one of my cats decided to "deposit" in a place other than the provided litter tray, she chose to do it in the bath - neatly depositing her smelly present in the plughole.
Clearly she recognised that this was a drain and therefore a suitable place to deposit waste!
In her defence, I think that I might have been a bit slow in cleaning the litter tray and this was her way of taking revenge!
