Finally,
I am going to college this June.. I graduated on high school a year ago! and I thought I am not going to college anymore because of we are not financially stable..
But good God still heard me! I was granted by a scholarship by our congressman..
I'm so so happy! I'm taking up COmputer Science.. Bachelor in Science in Information Technology..
I explained to my boss that I might have lesser time in my work! I thought he might be mad at me because of that..
But this is what he said..

"I don't have to understand.. I will encourage you to do that Ed. You've sacrificed a lot for your family Ed.. Now its time for you to be happy!"
Thank God for everything..

Hi...
Very glad to hear that everything is in favor of you and now its your time... how you handle your life. I am a college professor, hence i am highly related with college students. From my experience, i suggest you not to waste your valuable time... There may have some students who are enjoying their college life... beware from them as you have said that you are not economically stable. I never mean that you need to be serious but just avoid where there are chances to misuse your time. All the best.

Just do not be frightened by trials and hardships for you will learn from it and same with mistakes committed. All negatives encountered have its positive realization to strengthen you.

Definitely, getting through college is not easy. in fact many consider it a major achievement. To be able to set foot in college is in itself a privilege. With the prohibitive cost of education, many cannot even avail of it. Thus college should be treated as an investment. And a student must make sure that such an investment does not go to waste. With the any college challenges - academics, relationships with schoolmates and professors, and understanding yourself - you need God's guidance. College is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity. Make the most of it. Good luck edsss!

Make this phrase your inspiration in order to succeed..."Beyond the valley of sacrifices lies the valley of success" which serves as my inspiration also when I was in college and the one I posted in our Year Book. I believe you will succeed my dear because your such a brilliant and smart one!

Wow. Scholarship from a Congressman! Congratulations! And you're lucky to have a boss so understanding like that. Congratulations and good luck!
I remember when I went to college. I was worried because I know my mother will be spending more to my schooling than she should because I was attending a school far from home. So aside from tuition, there's also the food and lodging allowance she had to give me. Unlike if I was studying near home, expenses would be lesser. But lucky for me then, I applied and got a scholarship that paid for my tuition and even gave me book allowance. I only had to maintain a certain grade which I was able to do so I was on scholarship the whole four years of my college.^^
Cheers.

Well, you know. Education really the best option as of today because our country lack of educators and not only our country, even the other asian countries of the world. They need educators...computer courses is hard to find a position. Because this course have a limited option...

Congratulation to you that you managed to continue with your studies again. It is a good way to improve your academic status and thus you are able to earn much more in future. It is good to hear that your boss is very considerate person. not many people have these kind of boss. A few years ago, one of my friends got sacked just because she informed her boss about her further study matter.

It is really great when employers understand your need to improve yourself. Most employers will encourage their workers to find something to strive for. Some will even help financially if they think that you will stay with the company and move up the ranks with your new skills. Good luck with your degree!

Hi edsss17.
Congratulations and goodluck in college life. I just finished my College last year and just recently passed the board exam and for me it is very fulfilling and exhausting. College life is not easy you have to focus more on study and always give your best shot just don't be discourage to some down moments because college life is like a roller coaster it has it's ups and down, but if you continue to strive harder you will see you'll be successful in the near future.
Goodluck and Keep up the good work.. :-)

congratulations! You are a hardworking girl, you deserved that.
You makes me thinking about my own college life, the college time is beautiful. In my country (China), a college boy didin't have so pressure about the school work, and you can arrange your time on something you really like to do.
But, so many teenagers are lost among this condition, they totally abandon the book, the study, everyday has a entertainment on internet games, in bur or some other places. So, they couldn't have the degree. waste four years and do nothing. so, please treasure your chance and really learn some knowledge which you like.
