Why people go to temple??

Dear friend, God is everywhere. But we cannot do those pujas or meditate or do other spiritual acts in the middle of heavy traffic road. For me when I enter into a temple I feel not to have any negative thoughts to my mind. It is place where there is lots of positivity. Majority people enter in a temple with positive thinking, there is some one here who created all or the unknown creator to help to hear our worries, to share our secrets, to share our worries, who give us strength to live further. May be even more. I feel temples do have great importance, the teaching from there received give changes in thinking, many be people may get an insight to rethink. May a place to express our inner feelings to someone who we are sure to cure it. May God bless all.

Dear Poojarathi.. That's not like that. God is everywhere is true. But we need a place to worship. Its for our peace of soul.. God is everywhere.. But in the temple people remain silence.. Temple atmosphere haves a divine & peaceful effect & we can get our spiritual feelings in temple only.. We are using bed room for sleeping, Kitchen for cooking, Theaters for watching movies, Can't we sleep in the hall or kitchen?? Can't we watch movies in only TV?? The same thing here... We can get spiritual feelings & peace of soul in Temple only..

For some it is very important. A way of showing more respect to what they believe in. I agree with you, God (Ala , energy whatever your belief) is everywhere. But it is like when you are in Love. Some people like to show there Love in other ways then others. Just follow your heart and let others do the same. There is no wrong or right here. Everyone is different and has different ways of doing things.

I think people go for many reasons--to channel their prayers, to seek spiritual guidance, to bond with their friends and neighbors, to just not be alone. I don't think it is necessary, as you put it, to go to temple/church/etc. to communicate with God, but I think for many people it is very comfortable, peaceful, and/or meaningful.

some goes to church some goes to temple but do you have ant feeling to go there? and every night before going to the bed you may pray also-but it is just imp gesture there is no heart imptnt it.you simply repeat with the lips,you pay lip service to it.it is may be just old habit you have been taught from your very childhood to pray....so you continue.... GOD YOU HAVE TO SEARCH IN YOUR HEART.IF YOU STILL HAVE THAT INNOCENCE WHICH IS NEEDED FOR THE PATH OF PRAYER, IF YOU ARE STILL LIKE A CHILD,IF YOU STILL CAN TRUST THEN THERE IS NO NEED TO GO TO TEMPLE OR CHURCH AND NEED NOT TO PRAY INFRONT OF THE STATUE OF STONE OR ROCK........
