They will send you referral requests at end and maybe a few would agrre and join. Purpose solved. Alternatively, on thinking positive, they have their friend circle from real life here and these have joined them. Over the period they would start participating.

How sad. Sad for them because I do not add anyone I can't relate to. And the only way I will know for sure is by answering their posts.

People who do this are almost certainly using MyLot for their own (commercial) purposes. There was a user who was doing this a while back. No discussions, no responses and several hundred "friends". I got requests from this person and denied them each time. In a day or so, I would get another request (which I denied). I wasn't the only 'target'. She was doing the same to many people.
In the end, several of us reported 'her' for spamming and she was quickly removed. I would not be at all surprised if the person you got a 'friend' request from is the same person.
Deny the request. If you get another request in a day or so, deny it again. If 'she' persists, please report the username to MyLot.

I am supporting your words.
We are doing our duty sincerely in mylot.
You sad that "denied them each time...", If they targeted on you and they may give negative rating to you.
Then it is a threat know.
How you are overcoming that problem?

This happens to me a lot. Often they request a lot of friends and then never come back. Other times they request a lot of friends and then start sending them links to join other sites. Most of the time I do accept them but a lot of other users do not if they have not interacted.

Hi Dear Ramesh! I now and then get such friend requests, where they have not initiated either a discussion not responded to any discussion! They have '0' as their score! For that matter just now before responding to your discusiion I have denied the request of one of such so called 'friend' by name Lili or some thing like that!
These people are smart they use some attractive girl as their Avatar and then they request for the friendship! I think these people are on this site to promote their own sites or for spamming! Once we get them as friends then they start sending spams in the form of private messages, which is against the guidelines and rules of this forum!
I normally don't entertain such people and I sincerely request my fellow Mylot members to discourage such people from such activities to keep our forum clean and loving one! Thanks for the discussion!

Yes, I've been getting these requests on a regular basis. I was actually wonder why they were requesting friends also. Yesterday, I also received a private message from someone who requested to be my friend a couple of months ago and her response count still says 0.

maybe i can understand the girl's goal a little, sometimes when we newly come to a place and are not familiar with the regulations and the first sight of seeing others have many friends ,we also want to make friends and then we start questions our friends will come and respond, she is preparing for the later work.maybe she just looked though others mylot and see what kind of questions and responds people are talking about...so if you have no interest, deny her requestion but you don't mind just add her as your friends...have a nice day

Welcome to myLot..dellahappy! I do understand what you are saying, but...in my time, here on "myLot"--a "friend request" from some-one with "O" posts and "O" responses...I have NO way to judge that persons character, I don't know how that person thinks! And even tho' it is just the cyber world, I still do pick and choose my friends carefully..and based on their posted thought processes.
Past experiences, when accepting "ZERO POST & RESPOND" friend requests....have put both me, and my computer at risk from spamming and scamming!
And, if you deny her requisition..you also deny her/him as a friend..can't do both!
Truly hope you do enjoy your time here on myLot, it is a wonderful site with absolutely tremendous people!

That's uncanny. I just did. A newbie asked to be my friend. She hasn't started a post and yet has over 30 friends. I don't get it. the only way I can tell if we can be friends is if she answers my post Or better still I can answer hers. So I will wait and see if she starts anything. If not The answer sadly will be no. I like to wait and see with newcomers.

they are not interested in the discussions here. Their goal is to have as many friends as they can have then send them a referral link because there are many money making online now that pays for referrals.

Maybe they just wanna say they have lots of friends? seems like they dont have to be "physical" friends now-a-days.

I agree, not everybody is willing to jump into something head first. Some may be wary or perhaps just busy at the moment. You never know about a person's life and shouldn't immediately judge. Perhaps when she is ready she'll start creating discussions and posts. With more of a friends circle on mylot, there is more chances of getting more responds to discussions that you start.

I received a friend's request last week from this mylotter who joined for less a month.
Upon checking the profile...this mylotter has more than 100 friends,50+interests,but not responded a single topic or not a single discussion either.
I am also wondering what this mylotter is all about...
have a good day

Hi Remo,
Gosh the friend request come in by the 10 a day. I have well over 700 listed friends and it is getting to the point that I feel I will have every single person on myLot in my list. lol, I at times can't say no so I add them but it is getting so out of control. Lately I have been waiting a while after they request because what is the point of requesting someone you have never interacted with.
See I don't want to add someone who starts discussions that maybe I can't relate to and then they feel like I don't want to interact. As for the ones with zero friends, usually it is members who come here looking for referrals.
I have not had any issues with spam but if someone starts to spam me I will kindly send a pm and tell the to stop. If they do not then I would have no choice but to delete them, because really Remo friends do not spam. I have learned about so many good friends here and no friend of mine would actually trick me into anything to gain a referral.
What I would suggest is leave the person pending and see what their activity is like, if they start to participate on the Lot and you find the person and you have things in common then go ahead and add. Usually Remo when their sole intent is to spam they usually go away on their own. Hope this helps.
