I have met people in suits under scorching sunshine and others very skimpily dressed during a very cold evening. for you, is it comfort or smartness?

you can dress comfy and smart , have enough sense to not look trashy but be comfy , for me in the summer I wear a nice shirt and a pair of long shorts and can look smart and comfy in the winter wear sensible clothes that fit your comfort level it is really about what works for you not everyone else , but first impressions are lasting and you dont want someone to think the worst especially when you never know if they are who your next job interview is with .....

Hi. hnaboro. Welcome to myLot! I am about both. But when it comes to the ever changing weather, I am very smart. I don't like to wear clothing that has a lot of my skin showing, when it is cold, especially when I am outside. I don't like to wear so many pieces of clothing when it is too hot outside. I love wearing comfortable clothing during every season.

i am all for comfort during the seasons and because we have such extremes in weather here in canada, you have to dress according to the weather.

For me, it would be comfort almost every time. There are times when I'd tolerate being uncomfortable, but life is too short to be that way often!

I would go for comfort of course. But you could also be smart even if you are in your most comfortable clothes, by wearing the proper accessories and shoes.

Comfort, though you can still look smart and be comfortable. In the winter time, I wear a jacket in my office because it's usually about 50 degrees. The top might be super cute, but the jacket is dressy so I would rather hide the top than freeze.

If a person is dressed uncomfortably, then they are not dressing smart. I say, comfort is smart. Although sometimes people wearing a lot of clothing in the hot weather are comfortable and sometimes people wearing less clothing in the cold are not cold. Everyone's body is different. Sometimes, however, they may be dressed inappropriately for outside, but where they are going it may be just right. For example, if I am going to a concert in the wintertime, I will not dress warmly because I know that once I get inside, it will be way too hot. So I choose to suffer before the event, rather than during it.

I'm all for comfort! If I'm hot I'll wear less, if I'm cold I'll wear more and if I don't look smart then it's ok because at the minute I'm only at college. However next year I'm off to start a course leading to a profession where I have to wear a polo shirt and tracksuit bottoms everyday, so I don't think I'll ever look smart!
