PTC Sites that went poof in the night

I am relatively new to PTC or Work At Home Sites. I have been on them for maybe three years. I am not earning a lot of money but that is not my intent. I am just looking to stretch the dollar. I am on a few sites and all have been around for a while and have good track records. I have ben paid more than once from each of these sites. I have visited some and signed up for some that have been scammy but I opted out fast. I am interested in the experiences of myLot members who have been on a PTC site that went poof in the night. I am especially interested in those sites that had been around for a while and had good track records: sites that you trusted and had gotten paid from more than one time. What happened? Were there any warning signs that the site might disappear? And is there anything that can be done about lost earnings.

A few years ago I joined some and they bored me to tears. Some of them did not load well on my computer. I go viruses and malware. They just were not for me. I did join one, and upgrade, and do all kinds of things. I got paid well, two times, then the rules started changing. You had to upgrade, you had to be active and upgraded to be paid and I spent about six months waiting. I am somewhat tempted right now as I have a friend on another sit that is in on the ground floor of one. I may join at least for a while. I prefer things like swag bucks, mylot, gather and beezag in addition to MyLot.
