It depends on how one lives. Many would need to catch up on sleeping.
I try to balance on both. Still, you need to work on other aspects in order to be able to get an optimum amount of sleep and exercise. Both are essential if you want to maintain health.

I will go for both because I believe that exercise keeps the organs active and sleep provides them adequate rest. So both are equally necessary for maintaining a good health.

In theory...exercise.
In practice...sleep.
I love the idea of being motivated and disciplined enough to do exercise, but I'm just not, I'd rather do almost anything (except tidy, which I hate more than anything).
I'd rather stay in bed, or read a good book, or even read about exercise...but when it comes to actually doing it, I just don't have the motivation :(

I would rather sleep... but the exercise gives more of a reward than sleep does haha. At least in my opinion!

As much as I ADORE sleeping, I would rather get in a good work out (which is what I always do)... I always think about how great I am going to feel AFTER the work out and that motivates me to get up and go. I cannot work out after work because I am just too tired, but if I work out before, I always perform so much better at work and then go home and can focus on home tasks instead of thinking, "oh I have to go to the gym now". I do generally go to bed early (never really later than 11pm) and I think that also helps get me through!

Right now I'm planning on catching up with my sleep, I haven't been able to have a good nights sleep in a week and tonight I plan to fix that.

Yesterday, sleep. Today, exercise (since I slept better). I'm partly insomniac, so I don't sleep much anyway.

Sleep wins hands down! I am the sort that appreciates the value of relaxation. Exercise is so not relaxing. As a laid backperson I prefer to lie in the land of dreams.
My son can manage both sleep and exercise at the same time. He manages to be asleep deeply and also thrashes about uncontrollably and sometimes even violently. That I think should take care of both sleep and exercise.

I'd rather want exercise. It helps me become more active in my daily activities.

In the morning I promised myself that I will wake up early so that I can exercise but I only end up sleeping again...I think I have a longer time sleeping than staying awake...

In my opinion, I rather catch up on my sleep. Everyday, I used to stay up to like 3-4am in the morning just playing video games and then I have to get up at 7am in the morning for school. Everyday when I wake up, I regret sleeping so late and wished that I didn't. Everyday I try to sleep early but my addiction to video games is just too strong. Nowadays I feel a lot better than usual. I'm starting to regain my sleep that I missed(Thanks to the PSN outage). Sleeping and exercising are both important but I won't be able to exercise if I don't have the proper sleep I need and if I'm too tired.

it's important that you both manage to get enough sleep and exercise everyday. exercise is beneficial in having good sleep. exercising is suffircient to raise our body temperature during day time as we perform our daily tasks and as our body temperature drops down at night, it helps us to get better sleep.

when i don't have enough sleep just like what happened to me last night, i'd make sure that i'd catch up. enough sleep is very important for the bocy to function normally. Sleep brings many health benefits. Many people sleep late on Saturday, hoping to compensate for sleep lost during the week. While sleeping late helps catch up on your sleep debt, it alters your sleep schedule. You sleep late one or two days and then wake up early again on Monday. Your body must adjust to these changes. During this adjustment, your quality of sleep is poor. It is much better to have a consistent daily sleep schedule that gives you 7 to 9 hours each night.

I'd rather sleep
They say you still burn calories while sleeping...
