I had watch a movie that appointed from the cartoon and made the movie theaters. titled Avatar, the last air bending.
when going to watch it, I hope the film will be as good as or even better than its tv show, but when I watch it, I think I want to beat up director who made ??the film.
bad movie that even between plots the story there are no interlocking. I think, children aged 5 years even could make a better movie than the director avatar was created.

The worst one was the remake of dragon ball as a movie. Hollywood messed up my childhood toon.

I haven't watched Tekken, but after Dragonball, I just couldn't watch another hollywood remake of my favorite toons. :D
The Harry Potter movies continue to improve, in my opinion. The Deathly Hallows Part 1 movie captured my imagination (especially Luna Lovegood's house). :)

hello there!
I'm a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender too and I was excited when I found out it was to be made into a film. From the trailers alone my friends aired out their apprehensions. Not to mention that it was M.Night who was directing. STill, I had high hopes for that movie.
The movie was okay, but it's greatest downfall was that it was so disappointing! I had expected the action scenes to pack a punch, but they were short-lived and not enough. Also, M.Night made a kid's movie into a somber, serious film. It was no fun at all! :(
Nickelodeon had better change the director for the next movie. :P

I think there are several reasons for each director and creator of the story to create a story of inspiration that they can. But sometimes a lack of good storytelling that will impact the poor quality of a movie. I often run into things like you especially for the fantasy film adaptation of the cartoon story. And it forced me to digest and think too much about the content of a story. Finally I just suggested for children to watch a movie that is lightweight and easy to digest for their brains for the purpose of entertainment and knowledge. Should be adjusted by age.

yeah this avatar air bender movie really murdered my favorite cartoon series. its as if they didnt do any research at all, a lot of loopholes in the movie, and the main actors/actresses didnt give justice to the characters they are playing. i never thought a wonderful cartoon series would end so bad in its movie adaptation...

I'd never read anything about Airbender - it was just a fantasy movie on a list to me. Even then, I was disappointed - Shyalaman's really turned to poo if that's the best he can do with such decent base material.
Agree with the casting, though - all good choices - and the effects were pretty. Since I had no clue about the underlying comics, the story was just a total mess with HUGE gaps and leaps in it: after half an hour, I gave up trying to make sense of it and just enjoyed the pretty pictures.

Children 5 years old don't make great movies. They don't even make passable movies. Haven't you ever seen their stuff on YouTube? lol
I was also pretty disappointed with the film, but it's a far cry from the worst movie I've ever seen. I had pretty high expectations, being a huge fans of the show and having followed the film from pre-production. I actually like most of M. Night Shyamalan's films (seen everything except The Happening), I loved the casting choices (still do), and the trailers looked so amazing. But yeah... it was a mess. The story was sloppy at best and the editing was jarring.
But worst movie ever? Nah. I've seen much much much much worse. lol

I loved the series too. I'm not a kid, but after my little brother invited me to watch the show with him that one day I got hook to the show. It had comedy, and very interesting characters. When I saw the the commercial for the movie remake of the series I was so happy, and excited. After I watched a few of the commercials for the movie, I thought to myself this movie was not going to be as good as the series. To start off in the series Aang was sort of a childish, smiley and friendly, but just by watching the commercial for the movie they showed aang as a very serious monk. That turn me down. The week that I decided to go to the theater to watch the movie, I decided to do reviews online on people's feeling about the movie. They gave reviews similar to what you said and to the thought that I had. Till this day I still haven't watch the The Last Air Bender. I'll probably give it try when it comes on cable tv, but I knew it was not going to be as good as the tv series.
