I believe forgiving those who sinned againts us is crucial for our successful living as well us forgetting what they've done to us. But sometimes, we can forgive but we can't forget, can forget but can't forget. Isn't it consusing? Well it's really hard to do but with God's love all things are possible.

If we hold a grudge have we really forgiven? Forgiveness means that we have put the error behind us and from then on we deal with that person as if the transgression never happened. But we are a bit more cautious when dealing with that person.

I learned a long time ago that the only person hurt by a grudge or bad feelings is the person who holds on to it. I have seen a quote that says holding a grudge is like drinking poison, and expecting someone else to die. I think the forgetting is the hardest part because we have such marvelous brains that they hold on to everything. God made us, and so we do need His love to provide the fuel for our healthy actions.

Well if you have heard the song "The Past" it says like this: How can you be mad if you don't remember? It is indeed consuming and confusing.
Anyway in my case it is easy to forgive, but to forget is rather hard. If I forget that someone did me wrong then when he/ she does the same thing again I would still forgive him/her. Should I? The first time would be worthy of forgiveness, but doing it over and over again kinda shows that, that person is not sincere in saying sorry. So I think keeping track or remembering is good sometimes. :)
