even kidnappers has changed tactics, they resort to posing as nurses in hospitals just to be able to kidnap a child! i wonder why this was the case... why kidnap a newborn baby and even go to the extent of kidnapping the child inside the hospital. she even asked for the baby from the mother herself. the mother did not notice anyting suspicious so she gave the child to the lady, thinking she is indeed the hospital's nurse without even checking for an identification(the woman was in a nurse uniform though). What's your opinion of this?

This is such a sad story. it's terrible that it has to be true. a nurse is someone that we trust when we are in the hospital. When someone pretends to be something they are not itcan be discouraging to the profession they insult.

but with the advent of technology of today especially those CCTV camera attached to every corner of the hospital with a backup battery just in case a power failure occurs, i think will eliminate this kind of situations.....

This is really sad. I just don't understand why someone would do something like this. It's just sad that people would actually do something like this. I'm currently pregnant with my first child, and this makes me want to be even more alert when in the hospital. I'm not saying that anything will happen, but I'm certainly going to be a lot more careful.

Its such a sad story....its happening all over the world i think, i've been hearing such similar news every often, why aren't hospitals bothering about their staff, or who is coming in and going out, such situations should be taken into account and take a serious action.

hello chiyosan, Most of this cases are for purely business. Business right, they sell the babies to foreigners for big amount of money. This case was been disclose around 3 years ago when same case happened in Baguio City. Good thing the baby was found and the culprit is arrested and tells how they negotiate with foreigners. This is how scary the world is. have a great weekend

Its really alarming to hear about these news. I think thats one importance of the nurses rounds that nurses used to do back in the days so that the nurses can see their patients on the start of their shift and the same goes to the patients. During the nurses rounds the patients and the watchers can see the nurses on duties during that shift.

She was probably working for a couple who could not have children and were either criminals or not approved for adoption. She could also be someone who wanted a baby desperately and was either not married or too old, so she pretends to be a nurse. She could also know enough about the hospital to go unnoticed. I fail to understand why the age of the mother matters, her not being married would though.

it could be true, that this fake nurse was working for some group that sells children.. for many other purposes, to be given to a family with no child, to be made into a member of the children asking for money on the streets and many others.

People are so gullible sometimes! This woman should of asked for idenification of the so-called nurse! Nurses have name taggs on and if I saw a nurse without one I would get suspicious and check with the hospital about this. It amazes me someone can walk just walk right into a hospital and do these things! I hope the child is found and returned safely. The fake nurse in charged with kiddnapping and the hospital she took the babyfrom need to increase seurity!

Wow that is truly sad. Gosh I don't think I would have asked for identification at the moment either. But you bring up an important point here. We now have to question everything. Although she had a nurses uniform I would suggest to question now too. Sadly we might be looked at as crazy but for the sake of safety we have to do all to protect our babies. Gee, how sick was that, supposing that someone needed that baby. I wonder how she was able to walk out of the hospital with the baby and not be seen. Seems this was carefully planned. Have you heard if the baby was recovered? It was be so sad if it has not.
