Okay, so most people i know have facebook account, i do have too. i just don't open it a lot of times in a week... let us talk about facebook, though... what do you think is the worst thing you did, you said or you have done in facebook to date? something that you were not so proud of... We often expose ourselves too much in these social networking sites and we are not always guarded before we act.. before we realise it we could have already done something that we can no longer take back.. like say some things that we do not really mean, but then its too late and everyone has already read our post.. etc. so share yours... thank you!!

I was despirate to sell products for an online company to make some money. I had to spam a lot of people and had my account suspended for some days by facebook.

Upon reading this question, I remember one of those status I posted in facebook. That was during the first quarter of the year and the students are required to submit the soft copies of their chapter one for the investigatory project. After giving them the deadline, I waited for their e-mails... When the deadline arrives, I checked my email only to find out that none of the students had submitted their soft copies. I felt angry, because of the fact that i already gave them too much consideration and they can't adhere with this last chance that I gave them. Actually, I can automatically give them a failing score but I still have a heart for my students. As much as possible I try to understand their situations. So what I did, knowing that they have their facebook accounts, I went online and posted this "MINUS TEN FOR ALL THOSE IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENTS WHO HAVEN'T SUBMITTED THEIR SOFT COPIES... I WILL WAIT FOR THEM UNTIL MIDNIGHT OR ELSE I WILL GIVE YOU A FAILING GRADE"." If you will analyze my status there's nothing really offensive with this one but the other teachers are right what makes the status shameful is the fact that it was posted by a teacher. Indirectly, I humiliated my students online. Yeah' right! I think this is the worst status I had. But then, we learn through our experiences. I won't deny that I did this because for me the important thing is you recognize your fault and you learn from it.

That's nice of you to admit that you were wrong. You acted on impulse since you got irritated with their silence. I actually smiled when I read your comment as it was a natural reaction from someone who expected a response but got none. :-)

Presenting yourself in this social sites speaks about yourself. If are vulgar in your status then you are in person. If you are reserved then it speaks in your status as well. Be careful not to expose everything about you. Just learn to dance with the music but not to much to harm yourself.

Yeah! I agree! we exposed ourselves unknowingly through those social networking sites. And it would be too late for us to realize that we already welcome strangers in our lives. I may say that not all people are bad but to be careful is another thing. :) no wonder there are already online crimes. But still the choice is ours... It is always ours.

I don't post much on Fb but whenever I do, it's usually sayings or quotes, greetings and some nice thoughts. I don't go for exposing my anger or whatever emotional state I am in at that moment. I value my privacy a lot. However, I have nothing against those who do as I have friends who couldn't control their temper and air out what they feel. They act on impulse and that's what they are. Sometimes, I even enjoy reading them and add a comment like, "careful, your wrinkles!", just to make them smile!

Hi chiyosan! I have a Facebook account and you can say that I'm an active user. Although I don't post a lot in my status nowadays, I still check my Facebook everyday and see my friends' posts. I must agree with what you said that we often expose ourselves too much without thinking first. Maybe that's the reason why I don't post a lot now compared to how frequent I update my status before. It will forever hunt me that the head of our office had learned of something I posted in Facebook thru her good-for-nothing staff. It was a post that exposed my frustrations in work (mostly because of her) which she interpreted differently, such that, instead of thinking it was about her, she thought I was angry with my co-employees/friends. It worries me because she take things like these against the person, she use these kinds of information against the person. And I'm saying this not because I don't like her, but because this is how people at the office think of her. Because she's so unprofessional. The former head thinks so, too. What worries me more is that she might use this to prevent my promotion. .

The worst thing that I do in facebook is to play their browser games and spend $20 for upgrading my character on that game. I really have a regret on the things I've done.. And also still playing that game, I can't help my self but to play and play and I just addicted in that game that sometimes I forgot to study my lessons in school. Not really forgot but I pretend that I forgot to study so that I can't blame the game I play. I don't know why I get addicted with that Facebook game actually it is really a boring game now, that is why I regret what I did before. If I can return the time I would not spend $20 for that game.. I hate my self for that.
