Honk and scare cats while they cross the road

The only reason im posting this is because yesterday, i honked at a black and white
cat that was crossing the road. It was already runnung, when i honked it took off
as if it were turbo-charged....face first into an open chain link fence gate....how
unfortunate, im sorry kitty!
