2)jaggery is a good source of iron and some other minerals and salts so also useful in anemia to reduce the disease. anamiac person can eat daily one spoon jaggery.
3)jaggery cleans stomach, respiratory tract, and lungs,it tends to pull put dust and other unwanted particles in the body's system.
4)because of the fibre content present in jaggery,it helps to relieve constipation, also give the feel of fullness so the person who wants to reduce wait can try this after meal.

hi, yes jaggery is very good and consuming it instead of sugar is also a good idea. I think Sugarcane falls under the fruit list as we have its juice also like any other juice.Jaggery is a product of it we have it in the foods.

We use jaggery in several dishes and without knowing how good it is for health I use it in my cooking on a regular basis. Not just sweet dishes but also in certain curries. Sugar cane grows profusely here and there are shops that sell sugar cane juice. It is served with a bit of ginger juice, lemon juice and ice. When one is tired after shopping what better way than to have a glass of sugar cane juice to quench one's thirst by visiting these small shops.
