Have you ever been to an island and if so what did you think of it? My home country is a large island and it has small islands off its coast like the Isle of Wight and Lundy Island. From my nearest beach there are views of Steepholm Island and Flat Holm Island. A few years ago I went to the Channel Islands and explored quaint little Sark Island.
My favorite sorts of islands are tropical ones with white sandy beaches and green palm trees. I went to laid back Caye Caulker in Belize and liked the colorful buildings in a bright Caribbean style. From there I snorkeled with nurse sharks and sting rays. A couple of years before that I went to the Seychelles and found very beautiful palm fringed beaches. Most of all I adore the islands of the South Pacific Ocean like Samoa.
What sorts of islands are your favorite?
Which kinds of things did you do on an island that you went to?

I live on the very same island as you do But I do dream of nicer, warmer, sunnier, prettier ones though. I hope to visit the Sechelles or the Carribean one day. I went to Majorca when I was younger. That was more my kind of thing. the area I went to though was a little too tourist-y for my liking.

Majorca is quite a touristy destination nowadays and I am glad that you have been there when you were a child. I hope that you will be able to visit the Seychelles because it is warm, sunny and like paradise. I went to St Lucia in the Caribbean Sea when I was 19 years old. That sort of place is so relaxing and makes a perfect trip.

I'm from the Philippines, a country of over 7100 islands. I grew up island-hopping and I consider a few islands home. I'm proud to say that we have beautiful islands here to choose from. but I guess my favorite would be Cebu where I was born and raised.

I like Ketchican Alaska. My Dad was stationed there. It has totem poles, salmon, lots of Native Americans, mostly Tlingits (First t is pronounced k there). Actually all the Alaskan Islands are nice.

I have been to grande island and island cove in the Philippines. The whole island(s) as a resort so I surely enjoyed it. But it so expensive and not that "natural". I wish I have and island resort!!!!

I have never been to an island. But I am considering visiting the island of cyprus ( especially the greek cyprus which is part of the european union ) I am also planning to visit singapore in south east asia. Maybe, I would end my trip in australia which I think could be considered an island nation.Have a nice day!

Well, I live on the Island of Jamaica in the Caribbean. Came over 40 years ago from the U.K. as a very young bride. This is mu home now and it is very beautiful. I used to live in Portsmouth so as a child it was a big treat to go across to the Isle of Wight on the ferry. It is such a beautiful Island and I always wanted to live there. Thanks for the memories
