Are you the type of person who has this urge of looking at oneself in the mirror or on anything that reflects for that matter?
I have this friend who has this habit of looking at herself in any mirror or any reflective surface, wherever and whenever it is available. Whenever she rides a car, be it a taxi cab or a personal one, and is seated in the passenger seat, she will never fail to use the vanity mirror on the car's sunshade. It's like instinctive to her.
Are you somewhat like her or know somebody who's got the same habit as hers?

Hi rapuncille,
Maybe your friend is just really conscious of what her looks all the time. It is become her mannerism. Maybe She was doing that when she was a child and when she grew up she can't help herself.. Do you think what she is doing is wrong?? and if yes, you better tell her, as you being a friend you must do things can help her even he will hurt her feelings.
Also add to that about your friend, maybe their house is surrounded by mirrors that is why she is also looking for her reflection. hahaha LOL :)
Sometimes people are not aware of what they are doing. Sometimes what they normally do is not normal with others. Sometimes these people need a help from others especially from their friends to be lighten up and to have a change.. We can't change the culture of someone but we can change his lifestyle.. but still remember to tell person in a right manner and polite way so that she will not be offend.

hi onimar! i don't think there's nothing wrong with it. it's just that it is unusual for most of us in the circle. that's what sets her apart from us. that is her personality and we love her for that. so long as she is not creating any damage or hurting anybody by her looking at her reflection, we are ok with that. she knows about it and she's used to be teased by us with regards to such behavior and she's not offended. she's taking it lightly. we all have some things about us that makes us a bit eccentric and deviating from the norm. there is nothing wrong with that.

hahaha... this one is overkill.
at least my friend will do away with whatever is available and won't go her way to buy a mirror somewhere just to take a look at herself!

Well I know one that has this kind of habit and we laugh a bit when he do that.
Well some people are so vain so don't know what to do with it.

To them it is very natural. We used to tease her and she's "game" with regards to it. She doesn't take it against us. It's one quality that makes her "her" and we actually did love her for that. It gave us some good laughs.

Lol she dont have confident at all.
I also have a cousin like that she is really conscious of her looks. She always check herself first before doing anything. But I am not that kind of person I just comb my hair and that's it I am ready to go even without mirror or any reflections.

I'm not sure if it has to do with her confidence. She actually seem confident to me. Perhaps she just want to take every opportunity there is for her to check if she's looking nice. She doesn't want to be caught off guard.

No, I am not like her. Your friend is just curious of her looks that's why she does it always. It is her habit already and she might unaware of her actions too.

I also have the habit of looking at myself on the mirror but not like your friend. I have a mirror in my pocket and I like checking out myself at a mirror at home. Maybe your friend is always conscious and must check if she looks okay every minute.

most people especially girls has vanity kits. but to her, why bother looking for that mirror when her image is right there, ready to be looked by her. She does take a look if she have the chance.

Its going to sound so vain of me, but yes, I do look in reflective surfaces as I walk past. Its not to check myself out though, I just worry that I look fat in my clothing, or that my hair might look a mess. I dont stop and start doing my makeup or anything lol. i just cant help it, its a habit I havnt got out of since I had low self esteem as a teenager.

Maybe it is correlated with your self-esteem but i actually don't know with her case. Maybe it's just pure vanity. She's chic and has a nice sense of style. Looking at the mirror is natural to her. It's as if the reflection is waving at her to get her attention. We used to tease her about it and she just shrug it off with a smile. She says she just can't help it.

that is a weird person. I have never known a person who would do that. i mean maybe look at themselves once or twice but not every time they have a chance. maybe your friend really just likes herself too much=)
