Probably many of you have noticed this but you got too entertained by the almost-real presentations of movies for kids in 3d animation setup that you no longer cared. LOLs
I now wonder: would Walt Disney or any other kids' film producer ever spend money in creating cartoon movies? I mean like: Aladdin, Mulan, The Lion King and stuff like that? Or will they just focus on creating 3d animations and bring all cartoon movies as part of history?
What do you think?

Well I think they will do some cartoons, but animated movies have really taken off and they do so well in the cinema, I think that is why film companies have strayed away from cartoons. People seem to want to see the cleverest new techniques and special effects and theres no point in making a boring cartoon, if the snimators can make an explosion look like it ACTUALLY happened. It is quite a shame though because I think that as a kid I could distinguish from reality and pretend by watching cartoons, and it was like a little imaginary world. I always preferred the bright colours and drawings of cartoons so perhaps the movie researchers should ask kids what they think instead of focusing on their adult audiences.

It does seem that animated is the way the trend is now and maybe Walt Disney might pick up in that area. I still feel that they will continue to be creative, maybe in a different direction but as far as them no longer making cartoons, I seriously think they will continue.
They have invested way too many years and am sure they are not ready to give up yet. Perhaps it will further grow to cater to the kids today, who knows, maybe more superheros in a sense.

They'll do anything to wreel in the dough, and kids are easily impressed by this stuff nowadays, so as long as it's a cash cow of course they're going to keep making 3D epics.

Who knows what they will do? They are always making changes to things. I miss the way it used to be. I wish we still had a choice in it.

I believe that cartoons will always be a part of our lives. Cartoon making seems to go through a lot of different stages. We may not see the same type oc cartoon, but it it will still be a cartoon.

I'm almost sure that the days of 2D animation are over. Technology is constantly trying to out-do itself and everyone is jumping in the bandwagon. I'm not even trying to keep up with technology as it's too expensive, I can't afford HD tv.
